Stayed here last week. The room was a standard King and was very nice with charging for USB-A,USB-C and standard 120V. Bathroom was standard new rolling door w/ walk in shower and and ample space for toilet and sink. M Club is open 24 hours with evening snacks and breakfast served consisting of a few hot items and fruit, pastries. Attendant was on top of clearing dishes and offering to help. Rooftop bars had great views and a nice atmosphere. I was here on a free night award, but would definitely stay here again if the price was competitive with other Marriott properties in Bethesda.

Wrapped up a stay here. Some thoughts:
PROS:
- Fantastic location, 2 blocks from Bethesda Metro station
- Beautiful building
- 1 BR King Suite with M-Club access is huge (even has a hallway half bath). Nicely appointed, extremely comfortable beds, fantastic shower pressure (I was on the top floor) and water temperature.
- Provided SNA upgrades 3 days from stay
- M-Club lounge space (open 24/7), breakfast, and breakfast attendant Claudia
- Nice gym with Pelotons
- Front desk staff
CONS:
- Evening M-club lounge spread not so great, and same hors d'oeuvres spread over two days
Would stay here again. I think it's better than the N. Bethesda Marriott.

Staying here next month. Can I take a subway directly from DCA to the Metro site near the hotel?
Any updates on quality of the Lounge, housekeeping, likelihood of non-SNA upgrades, etc?

Yes, you can take Metro from DCA to Bethesda. There is currently no Yellow Line service, so you will have to take the Blue Line to Metro Center and transfer to the Red Line. I would budget maybe 70-90 minutes on the subway, and it's a quick walk on either end.

Anybody stay at the nearby AC Hotels Bethesda? I am wondering how it compares?
Normally I stay in Arlington or St. Regis (depending on my budget) but looking for something closer to American Univ. and AC has a killer rate.
