Good idea, Hyatt double points promo now starting with second stay.

I have 8 nights in Paris at HR Etoile followed by 4 nights at Le Meridien and Hotel Sofia Barcelona.

I am anticipating smaller crowds in Paris and Barcelona.

So far no. Am already 29 nights so on track to renew Plat on mostly personal stays

I don't book accomodations until at least within a week of departure - have found mostly immaterial price differences - eliminates any loss of prepay amount.

Munich, Austria, London, and Scotland for my 25th anniversary with Mrs. Slpybear in May/June. The only way we will miss is if they governments start closing borders/shutting travel down.

I was travelling to Italy in March for an event that was cancelled due to the virus; any idea how I can cancel my Marriott stays without penalty?

Event cancellation notice should suffice. You need to contact properties direct to cancel.

I have a planned Marriott stay in Rome next week— if the virus spreads to southern Italy and if the Rome Opera cancels performances ( as did La Scala and La Fenice), I will cancel, too. I also have a planned Marriott stay in Singapore in April, and have been watching developments there. (They had negative growth today: 1 new case, 2 patients cured.)

Last year I decided that this year I would concentrate on Asia. Went to ICN last month and planned on MNL next month but have put a hold on this plan and decided to continue my conquest of Europe. Headed to TIA next month, DUB in April and looking at SKP for May.

quite enjoying the reduced number of tourists.... I think this is the time to travel not avoid it, other than cruise ships.

If your username checks out, then I can imagine you are meticulously disinfecting your mucous membranes in order to minimize the risk, of course! :D

Cancelled 7 nights in Hong Kong and Macau this month.

Being based in Asia this is having a massive impact. My organisation and many others have indefinitely banned any Intra-Asia travel since late Jan. I believe Bonvoy members based in Greater China have had status extended through 2022 but for the rest of us it is likely to be very difficult to renew status this year.

I had to cancel a trip to Vietnam for March as I work out of China and they won't take anyone directly from China. That trip was going to be 4 nights.

I just cancelled a trip to South Korea for the end of March and beginning of April. With how the virus is blowing up over there, and lack of flights, I think it will get worse before it gets better.

I did just book 2 weeks to BKK though and will be leaving this week for 2 weeks. This is because work hasn't opened for 4 weeks here and no indication when it will. The hardest part about leaving is the lack of flights.

I have had no problems being accommodated due to the virus on my hotel cancellations.

Also Thailand looks safe. No new cases in over a week and very low numbers. To the guy cancelling summer there, I wouldn't.

I plan to spend a lot of time in Korea this summer. By then the virus should have run its course.

for the next 4 months i have trips to the us & uk (3 times each), uae & the netherlands (twice each) & singapore, france & belgium (once each)....all these places seem safe so i'm not making any changes to my travel plans....

having said that, my wife wants me to cancel all my travel for the next 6 months at least....:D

No impact as of yet. I do have flights ticketed to Singapore, Thailand and Japan, but they're all in December.
