285 points for one night?
I stayed in a Residence Inn in the UK, I got 2 rooms, 1 night, and paid Ł90 per room.
The points have posted and seem very low: +999 Points (285 Base + 214 Elite + 500 Extra)?
Is this correct?
Is there a calculator I can check and work out what I am due for each stay?

Something is off you should get at least 10x the base rate...

Seems a bit low to me and sounds like you received credit for only one of the rooms. If I had to guess, they probably calculate points based on the pre-VAT room rate (& any other fees/taxes in there). Then with a generous GBP to USD exchange rate in MR's favour, RI @ 5 points = $1USD could partially explain the low points earn. Would be worth a follow up about that second room - suspect you'll have to write or call in.
Just my thoughts though!

From what I can tell on previous marriot stays it’s pre tax room rate * pretty much spot GBP/USD rate and then * 10 or 5 for some limited service hotels.
For Ł90 a night you’d be looking at atleast 4500 points a night at an RI.

It should be simple to calculate.
OP received 285 base points. Because RI stays should earn 5 points per USD, that means that Bonvoy thinks that the underlying room rate was $57. Unless the OP has included some extras in the 90 GBP figure, this is clearly incorrect.
However, there is no "online calculator" and you can be sure that Bonvoy's calculations will always be working in their favour, but roughly speaking they should be:
Therefore the base points should be in the range of 450-500.

- Stripping out the 20% VAT from the 90 GBP --> approx. 75 GBP
- Converting the pre-tax rate to USD --> roughly $90-100 depending on the FX rate used
Therefore the base points should be in the range of 450-500.

I'm betting th FX rates aren't updated very often. I highly doubt that they get updated without manual intervention.

I have had this problem more than once with different Bonvoy hotels in the UK.
Always check your base points as they are often wrong.
I always email them and its corrected within a week.
