Missing points

How many have had points gifted to you only to have the points disappear? My wife gifted me points for a stay only later to be notified the points were posted improperly and removed from my account, and not deposited back into her’s. Later the points were reposted to me but to have some other points missing from my account. Tried emailing Marriotts but no response. Wish they could improve the communications.

Social media is the only way to get a reasonable response. Twitter... or the lurkers on FT.

After several corespondents with Lurker still not resolved. Lurker claims to be associated with Marriotts, wants accounts numbers and email addresses, I am uncomfortable revealing the information to a stranger.

Just as an FYI, the green colour of an FT username means they are an accredited company representative.

So she emailed them and asked for a explanation of the point activity. After about a week now, no response from Marriotts.

You would have far better luck to get things resolved if you let the Lurkers help you. In order to help you of course they need your account numbers. As others pointed out, Lurkers are official company representatives and they are here to help - primarily get the right depts at Corporation to look into the issues and then take rectifying actions.

I recently stayed at the Delta Hotels Grand Okanagan Resort, and no points posted. After 10 days, I tried to fill out the web form for missing stay credit, but discovered that only a fraction of the Delta Hotels properties are listed in the "Hotel Name" field. Since the Okanagan Resort was not among these, I tried to type in the hotel's name without the auto-complete kicking in.

I haven't heard any acknowledgement after several days, which is unusual in my experience. I wonder if not having the hotel's name auto-complete in the relevant field causes my missing stay credit request to not go through, or automatically get rejected?

Is every Marriott flagged hotel supposed to be listed for autocompletion in the Hotel field of the missing stay form?

Have other FTers encountered this situation where the hotel they were staying in was not found when trying to fill out the missing stay form?

I always call CS. They post the pts while I’m on the phone. Now that you’ve emailed request, you’ll have to wait 10 days to call.

Thanks. My last request for missing points online was addressed in < 24 hours. The big difference was that I was able to select the hotel from the list of hotels in the relevant field of the Bonvoy missing stay form.

I wonder whether others have found gaps in the inventory of Bonvoy points accruing hotels when trying to complete the missing stay form on the Marriott Bonvoy site?

And what does red colour mean?
