StarAmenities Dead or Alive??
I hope that someone (Lurkers?) knows if StarAmenities is still supposed to be operational or if it died with Starwood. Strangely, the website is still up and running and will allow you to place amenity orders to Legacy Starwood hotels. Even more strangely, others have reported recent successful transactions (I know of one a few weeks ago at Gritti Palace). Yet when I tried to use it, despite it allowing me to place an order (and charging my credit card) for an amenity gift to a guest at the St Regis San Francisco, my amenity was never delivered and the StR had no record of it. (My CC dispute was successful and I was refunded)
Here is the website:
Star Amenities
We have friends celebrating an anniversary this week in Puerto Vallarta. Contacting my Ambassador and having her contact the hotel and then reviewing an emailed amenity list and then approving an online credit card authorization seems like such a laborious and time wasteful way to transact this process. Staramenities was way more convenient.
Would be really great to find out if it the program still exists or will be resurrected at Marriott.
Thanks for any info!

Thank you Christina but also very confusing- Do you have any idea why I was able to choose an amenity and pay for it at the St Regis San Francisco (my credit card was charged) and yet the hotel claimed the program was defunct and they knew nothing about it? Only after my amenity was not delivered did I realize there was no “help” or “contact” info on the website- so nobody (other than the hotel) to follow up with.
