It’s not a bad bonus, I don’t like this continual use of after the first stay trigger. I understand it eliminates much of very infrequent that just happen have a night during the promo. That group wouldn’t have their bookings altered by the promos bonus anyway.
Im just happy I don’t have a week long stay at a beach or ski resort as the first stay during the bonus.

Ie, it's a minimum of 1 night as always (unless it says otherwise), but you can't "trick" it by doing a separate 1 night stay reservation followed immediately (starting the next night) with a separate stay reservation and expect to earn double points on the latter. You either have to change hotels or wait 1 night between the two reservations, to have the second one count as your "second stay".

will be necessary to re-book the actual reservations or will the system get automatically all the stays from March 19 – June 4, 2019 even if already booked before to register on this promo ?

I did do some stays during Mega though that were basically mattress runs at $37 a night (Fairfield/Springhill cold dead tourist area) . The Mega bonus/points/gift/green/brand reduced my calculated cost down to about $17 on two seperate 2/4 night stays. Turned out I didn't need those 6 nights, but it points out that a double bonus is better for people who are actually spending some money. Makes more sense for Marriott.
I love the "like" button here, but I sure wish there was a "LOL" button to click for all the silly comments.

As always (and as in all hotel programs), it's to define a stay as any number (1+) of consecutive nights at the same hotel, no matter how many times you check in or check out.

Thanks for the speculative answer, but that wasn’t the question. Some MR promos have required a minimum of 2 nights for stay eligibility. That’s what I was asking. In my case I have an upcoming resort stay in late march, that I am expecting to net me some 150k points. This would be my first stay in the promo period. So, while I’m waiting for the postman to arrive, I would like to know whether I have to book a 1 or 2 nights stay prior to that resort stay, so that I can make that my second stay in the promo period.
