I've been enjoying the conversation but I don't think I've seen anyone yet ask the all important question of when will the Flyertalk subforum be renamed Bonvoy (instead of the "new consolidated program")? On the 13th perhaps?

I've noticed that those questions have nothing to do with the subject matter of the thread, so they will not be discussed here. If anyone needs to be reminded that once the loyalty team has completed their year-end true-up that you will be notified where you stand via email, let's find another thread to discuss that.
TIA

My emphasis added. I apologize that this has nothing to do with the name Bonvoy. I am (was in 2018) Platinum Elite. I am also Lifetime Gold. When will I know if I am PE for 2019? I sifted through the first four pages of threads and did not find one that by the title appeared to address this issue. William asked to find another thread to discuss that, but I could not. Can anyone either point me to that thread or else answer my question? Sorry for the intrusion.
PS I loved the response in this thread that was glad the new Titanium status isn't called Giraffe level.

shouldnt you know if you are a Platinum elite if you made 50+ nights in 2018 for the 2019 status year or are you waiting for your Rewards LT gold to kick into lifetime platinum elite? If so, check out the other thread (btw, no sweep yet so I can save you a question post on when it will sweep)
One can also requalify from the SPG side for Plat by having 25 legacy SPG stays (ONLY) during 2018.
In addition, some people had an earlier SPG targeted offer that SPG nights and stays counted double for a couple months, and these folks seem to be having difficulties with getting the doubled numbers to count for status according to legacy SPG rules.

I dont doubt china has all of our information and has for awhile but to use that as an excuse to brush off the complete failure of Starwoods IT and lack of basic security and overall awareness of what's going on with their systems is silly. Giving you a pretty website with an email address for a hotel is not a fair trade. Security, functionality and eye appeal....apparently we will only ever get 2 out of 3 from these places.

Folks, a few off-topic posts have had to be removed.
Please maintain awareness that a lot of eyes are on this thread. I'm pretty sure they are wanting to know about the new Bonvoy program, so please bear this in mind when posting and stay on-topic.

I thought about that too. But then I remembered that my Hyatt concierge – excuse me, “My Hyatt Concierge” — pronounces her job “con-see-AIR” in the apparent belief that this is how the word is pronounced in French. I don’t think I could handle calling customer service and hearing “Bon Voyah”.
