At the Westin this week. The lower pool deck work is a thing. On days when they are cutting tile….noisy. Days like today when they are laying and grouting, ….fine. Doing it in sections and appear 2/3 done. The new tile is way easier on the feet…
the stunning change here is the MAJOR beach erosion. Hapuna Beach is no longer accessible and the surf come 2/3 of the way from old normal to the lawn. Truly stunning loss of beach.
The hotel overall is fully back to its pre-pandemic feel…. Albeit without the full breakfast and with parking no longer in the resort fee.
The pic shows the 4 ft “cliff” where the beach is cut away and the rock point at the juncture of Hapuna Beach which war formerly 75 ft from the water now under water
