I have had a few problems like this, but the most recent stay worked out fine.

well ... no longer true ... now I have issues again. Oh well.

You're lucky. My accounts are showing Ambassador only on the MR side and it's starting to seem like this is consistent.

So you are saying
  • You have not "combined accounst"
  • Therefore, you have FOUR ways to look at your accounts) SPG Web & APP, Marriott Web & APP
  • ALL Four show Platinum Premier Elite + Ambassador
  • You show up to check in and this status does not show up to the Front desk personnel?
I got nuthin' Good luck. Have your phone pulled up when you check in.
I guess be happy you are not missing 3.3 MILLION points.

Based on what i am seeing, the Properties' feed must be the same that the web feed is seeing, and the APP feed (while correct) is not available to them. I guess, just pull your account up on your phone before stepping up to the desk,.

It's all good and fine to have your phone ready to show your correct status but in all likelihood there will be no room upgrade as those were allocated to other Platinum/Platinum Premier/Platinum Premier + Ambassador guests.

This is an issue that needs to be corrected. It should not be upon the guests to do this.

I have combined/merged accounts. I was logging into all of them to see if there were differences.
Aside from that, I am missing points, stays, and future reservations.

when did you merge? It took 3-5 days for me until everything was in sync wrt points/stays/reservations.

I received an email today from the after hours desk, a couple of days after I sent it out.
It stated that while my accounts are linked, I haven't combined them. It also says my new loyalty number is XXX, and I need "to combine number ZZZ into this number" (not 100% sure what that statement means). A couple of weeks ago, I was told ZZZ was my new number and I needed to use that instead of my SPG number. So apparently now, there is yet another number that's my "new" number. So I am on my 2nd "new" number now, from my perspective.

Some thoughts:
Today I am told to go to https://www.marriott.com/loyalty/merge-my-accounts.mi to merge my accounts
I did this a month ago when I was told to go to https://www.marriott.com/loyalty/mer...mi?program=spg
A month ago, I was also told I had merged my accounts (did that months ago).

Quite frankly, I shouldn't have to deal with any of this crap. I'm still missing nights, future reservations, points, etc.

Edit: Just received another response, stating that the number I was given in the previous email (XXX) was wrong, and I should keep using number ZZZ.

Another SPG fail. Right now only 1/5 SPG hotel had my status correct. This is beginning to get really annoying, frankly. Perhaps I am unlucky, but also 6 weeks into the merger and hotels still can't figure out they need to update their systems? Pathetic.
