I understand this isn't the correct thread for this question but I'm hoping someone would know the answer to this problem.
I will become platinum elite after my next stay from gold elite. However, I'll be staying at another marriott property approximately 30 hours after check-out. If I call customer service after my stay, is it possible for them to post my elite nights faster? I could really use the free breakfast if I become a platinum member. Thanks. |

Should be upgraded within 24 hours according to the Marriott agent I spoke to. Did you get the free breakfast?

I had a Taste of Platinum challenge on my account running until the end of February (corporate offer through my company). The double elite night credits from the current promotion did not count towards the nights required and my status was downgraded.

Hello petter2, I am sorry for your frustration with this and would like to help. Please share in a private message, your full name, Bonvoy account number, confirmation number where the double elite nights were not credited, your company name (who offered the Taste of Platinum challenge), and your contact email. This will be researched and you will be followed up on, regarding your concerns. |

I'm in Canada and hold both the Amex Business Platinum which gives me Marriott Gold Status and the Marriott Bonvoy Amex which gives me 15 Night Credits and gold status upon spending $30,000/year on the card.
Charging $30,000/year to this card gives me no real benefit as nothing changes as I already have gold status from the Amex Platinum. After charging $30,000 to the card I don't receive the additional night credits awarded for gold status to give me a boost in getting to platinum. In the past, reaching $30,000/year in spend on this same card awarded me an extra free night award which made a lot more sense. It's disappointing seeing that members in USA get to stack cards and are able to receive 15 and 25 night credits per card for a total of 40 nights each year just for holding 2 cards, while us Canadians are limited to only being able to earn 15 night credits regardless of the cards we hold. It would be ideal to go back to the card system present while the Chase Visa existed in Canada where 1 elite night credit was awarded for every $3000 charged to the card or simply allow Canadians to stack the nights from multiple cards as members in the USA. Upon making 16 Qualifying Paid Nights within 90 days of date of registration, participant will receive Marriott Bonvoy® Platinum Elite Status for up to one year, based on their loyalty program affiliation. Does it mean to the end of my qualification period (Jan-dec) or for 12 months? |
When does Prepaid Stay Count for Challenge?
If I book a prepaid stay, when would I get the 'credit' for the night - when I pay, or when I stay?
For example, I start the challenge on May 1. On May 10, I book 18 nights from July 1-19 under a prepayment, non-cancellable rate. When do I pass the challenge - on May 10, or July 19? |

What is the reason for Platinum challenge when you can get there by a credit card?

2) Many people pick up paid night on company dime. |
Does the Platinum Challenge show up on your account? If not, how do I check if I'm actually registered.
Thanks |
