Thanks in advance
Happy to provide some feedback:
- Le Méridien Bangkok: freshly renovated, but they don't have a real lounge; instead they offer canapes and drinks in the main restaurant, the food portions offered though are a joke (think 4 slices for the "cold cut platter"), other than that the hotel is pretty nice and quite artsy
- Bangkok Marriott Hotel The Surawongse: Pretty amazing lounge which is open in the afternoon / evening and for breakfast on weekends. Part of the lounge is a really nice terrace with great views, freshly mixed cocktails, some live cooking and a good selection of food
- Renaissance Bangkok Ratchaprasong: Lounge is open for the afternoon/evening hours, nice food & drink selection, although slightly below the two Marriott I stayed at and it only offers indoor seating; unfortunately the rooms are quite old and worn out and definitely need a refurbish
- Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen's Park: Again, the lounge is open for afternoon/evening hours. Great food and drink selection although no real live cooking. Also offers a small nice terrace, but the view is somewhat limited as half the terrace is solidly covered, which is blocking the view

All current as of 05/22

Good / solid, but nothing standing out particular.

From the (restaurant) breakfast perspective, I would say the Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen's Park had the widest selection and "live cooking" stations (out of the 4 hotels I went to on this trip).

Lounge is closed on weekends, also for breakfast! Platinum Elite Guests (and higher) are offered $50 (for 2) for breakfast in the restaurant on Saturday/Sunday. In case of an early checkout the alternative is 750 points..

Not sure if this is the place to post, so apologies in advance.

We are flying ORD to AMS to CDG at the end of June, and have a 5-hour layover in AMS. I have Priority Pass through my CSR, and also an AmEx Biz Plat card. (We'll be 2 kinda, 2 adults.) Will we be able to access any lounges in AMS during our layover? Anything we need to keep in mind (like Shengen zones, etc.?)

Thank you!

Sorry - just realized I am in the Marriott thread. I posted again in the general Lounges thread.

Free for Titaniums I assume, how would this work for a family of 4 plus a 2nd room with g'parents on the same res? Still just 1 free for the member +1 for a guest? Did they have takeout items like bagels?

Couple of updates from last month:

Hotel Maria Cristina San Sebastian Spain -- Platinum Amenity choice of hot buffet breakfast plus limited specialties menu included in restaurant downstairs. did not get charged extra for third person (was included in "extra person charge" for the room). no coffee/tea facilities in-room, you have to go downstairs to bar and purchase at your own cost.

Marriott Amsterdam -- Lounge on main floor, breakfast (didn't try) OR hot buffet breakfast with made-to-order items in the restaurant (had to push a bit, but it clearly said that was an option on their web site under Bonvoy details). evening snacks/drinks (beer, wine) in the lounge. world's smallest coffee cups. did not get charged for third person.

Park Lane Cyprus -- Platinum Amenity choice of hot buffet breakfast in restaurant, extensive selection. did not get charged for third person.

Salt Lake City / Marriott Downtown at City Creek

Salt Lake City / Marriott Downtown at City Creek: as of May'22, the lounge is CLOSED (not just the weekend) "due to the low unemployment rate in SLC" (1.8%). Plats and above get free breakfast (voucher at check-in) in the restaurant which was a buffet. Food was stale and not particularly edible, again probably due to the "low unemployment rate."
