I have been having the same problem with converting Marriott Reward Points to Turkish Airline Miles and Smiles miles. The online form to convert Marriott points to Turkish miles returns an error message stating, "Please correct the following and try again. Frequent Flyer Number is not valid." No configuration of my Turkish Airlines frequent flyer number works. I first spent over an hour on the phone speaking with phone reps that could not resolve the problem. I then sent emails to customer service and received replies with case numbers stating that I would hear back from a representative. Days passed; No reply. Finally, I decided to email the Marriott Senior Vice President of Loyalty, David Flueck ( [email protected] ). In a matter of hours I received a direct email response from Mr. Flueck and a reassurance that his team would connect with me and help me resolve this problem. Sure enough, within 24 hours I had three people from his team calling me stating that they were working on this problem. I was told that this is a known issue, and that Marriott IT folks were working on resolving it. Unfortunately, a week has come and gone and still no fix. May I suggest that you, and all those effected by this frustrating and annoying issue to contact Mr. Flueck directly by email and let him know that this problem is impacting you too. Bonne chance.

I transfered 60,000 MR points to AC Aeroplan (taking advantage of the 35% bonus). Transfer was confirmed, points were deducted, but transaction history shows nothing (I was keeping track of my points but no transaction was recorded), no confirmation email, nada, zilch. Called SPG Customer Service and it was escalated to supervisor and was told that nothing was ever initiated on my end and this is their first time hearing that transactions not posting instantaneously

Good thing I found this thread and apparently this more common than it should be. How does MR deduct points for transfer without sending confirmation emails or failing to post the transaction history instantaneously whilst the points just vanish?!

I transferred 60K to AP on Sept 13 and both the 60K and an additional 15K are in my activity list. Still waiting on the miles though.

TOTALLY! I transferred 180K MR points to Aeroplan because I too wanted to take advantage of the bonus. I received absolutely no confirmation though my MR account shows that the transaction took place only because the points were deducted from my account. What to do?

I have escalated this with Marriott. I have converted my MR loyalty points many times to Aeroplan and within 10 seconds I always receive confirmation from Marriott. This time I never received confirmation so I brought it to the attention of the partners program at Marriott and also to my Marriott Ambassador. They contacted the liaison person between Marriott and Aeroplan. They have confirmed that the transaction took place but they only process weekly. How is that possible? I have no idea but I did let them know that people are concerned about doing any transfer of points considering they are not receiving confirmation.

I requested a transfer of 131,xxx Marriott points to KrisFlyer on Saturday (9/15) and 53,686 the miles were in my account this morning (9/17), unbelievably quick!
On a side note, I requested a transfer of 75,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points to KrisFlyer this morning at 10am and 12 hours later at 10:22pm, the miles just hit my account. Another quick transfer!

I too am starting to get worried - transferred to extend expiration date with an airline and a month has gone by. Still have another month to go before the miles expire.

I wonder how long it would take to:

1 - Manually fix the problem
2 - For the fixed IT problem to get the mile credited

Since Christina is in Guangzhou and they were probably hit badly by the typhoon, I hope everything is OK and don't expect an answer right away until things get back to normal

I transferred 180,000 points to Alaska Airline on 09/05 and the miles showed up in my AS account on 09/13 as 14,999+59,994 miles. Not sure why it is not 15,000+60,000

Already explained previously in this thread - Marriott are using a conversion rate of 1:0.3333 rather than 3:1.

Thank you for your concern. The typhoon is gone and everything is ok here in Guangzhou.

We were advised a fix was being worked on regarding the delay of transfer and have not received an update yet.

I transferred 60000 Marriott points to Aeroplan on Sept.13, 24,998 points deposited in my Aeroplan account today. The 35% Aeroplan bonus doesn't show yet but I believe that has to wait until the points from Marriot were deposited. Anyway a faster result than I was expecting from reading other's experiences in this thread.
