Be aware, you may not qualify for the 50/75 night benefit if you do not cross the threshold with a stay. The SPG Lurkers have told us that having more than 50/75 nights before the merger of the programs or by virtue of combining accounts would not qualify. Logistically it makes sense. Otherwise, way not give SNAs to anyone with more the 50/75 nights?

Was this stated anywhere? To me it seems that since the benefit is awarded with 50/75 nights that anyone with 50/75 nights should be eligible, no?

OK, maybe that is it. She is sitting on 81 BiB nights, but 8 of them have yet to have been credited to her account. Looking at 158 nights total this year it was easy to expect that she would qualify for both.

On the other hand, she is showing as PPE, which I thought also required 75 nights. Do the rollover and credit card nights count for that, but not the annual gifts?

I'm still not clear on the 50/75. Although it takes me to a 'page unauthorized' it says I received a 50 night award, but not 75. What counts as a qualifying stay? I have 55 paid nights, 10 award nights and 22 via the Marriott credit card. That puts me at 87; shouldn't I be eligible for 75 gift award?

With all the postings going on now, finding something read a month or more ago is like finding a needle in a haystack (though I tried).

I see lots of issues here with the 50/75 night benefits. First and foremost, should those that have over 50/75 nights now be granted the benefits? What about those SPG members that already collected 10 SNAs for reaching 50 before 7/27? Should they get another 5 or 10 (theory is only 5 when passing 75). What about those that maintain their separate accounts, should they get benefits at 50 & 75 for each account? If you take this to the extreme, someone could earn 25 SNAs this year.

This is all a first-year issue and I'm sure many more will arise. Basically, don't set your sights on something they may not give up.

Where has this been stated? It makes absolutely no sense and, quite frankly, there is little reason to trust anything supposedly put out by the Lurkers at this point.

Agree. 50/75 nights is 50 or 75 nights.. doesn't matter whether it was all in one program or across 2.

Heck, I started splitting time between Marriott and SPG this year precisely because I knew they would be combined.

The SPG Lurkers have been a very reliable resource on FT and hope their participation continues. MR abandoned FT years ago due to lack of ability to control the posts. You decide what's more reliable.

IIRC, this was discussed at length in Official announcement – See how our three loyalty programs will become one in August

I believe FAQ A15 in the wiki may be source of the concerns on this point:
A15. Will members receive new Suite Night Awards in August when the programs are combined?
No, we will continue to honor existing Suite Night Awards until expiration dates and they can be used at participating Marriott Rewards and SPG brands and properties. <added by Starwood Lurker 30Apr2018>

Sorry, not related to how to earn. I tried finding the specific post but too many to sort it out. Let's see what happens IRL.

I also get prompted for username and password when I try to select my gift for the 50 night threshold. I'll keep trying occasionally and give it until at least next week before reaching out to MR if it is still broken.

I'm sure the IT to select the Annual Choice Benefits is still not fully resolved. And let's face it--this isn't the big priority this week! Let's give Marriott until next week or so before beating down the doors.

For newly selected SNAs, does anyone know what the expiration is?
