Did anyone else have issues in past 12 hrs with managing reservations? Specifically, I canceled some reservations (not from app) but doesn't look like at least one did not cancel

We are sorry for the inconvenience. If you need further assistance on cancelling reservation, please call our hotline listed here https://www.marriott.com/help/global...ion-numbers.mi for immediate help. Best Regards, Carrie L Specialist Social Media Care Marriott International [email protected] |
Ahh, yes... Marriott's abysmal IT continues to disappoint!
Unable to modify any existing reservations. All I'm trying to do is change the date to add another day, and continuously get this lovely message when trying to apply the changes: An unexpected error has occured The service is temporarily unavailable. But don't worry, we're on it. Please try again later.Love how they even misspelled 'occured' |
And now even better... can't log in at all!

Had issues with the search feature again. I'd type in a city name and it's showing me hotels 800+ miles away mixed in with the local hotels, while omitting some of the local hotels. When I went directly to the individual hotels' pages, it did show that they had availability for the dates I was looking at.

A new low in dysfunction tonight. Can't book a stay on either the app or website. App has been erroring out on about 50% of searches for months, but now completely nonfunctional. All the way to the booking page and then a "could not hold your room please try again" error message.

I'm only able to search by specific property on the app.
Any attempt at searching by the city is futile, although geographically interesting. https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...43cc2b9c4.jpeg |

Still can't modify any reservation dates either... same useless error as above. Marriott IT continues to amaze. They must've gotten together with Delta.

Review is broken. I can only view the first page only.:(

Today's experience while trying to book a weekend in Austin, TX:
- must log in with 2FA every time (understandable but still a pain) - searching locations by map while displaying prices in $$ or points = nearly impossible. Map loads over 5-7 seconds at dial-up speeds and is nearly impossible to move around. (I'm on dedicated fiber internet line) - found a points redemption that has good value, went to reserve, and was told points redemption no longer available. It loads and displays this property at 25k/night every time though. - the whole website is somehow a massive drain on PC resources, memory, etc. This requires an immense level of patience and a stiff drink after use. I have become more and more fed up with Marriott's website that I've used the app or 3rd party travel agents to make bookings. Actually have been more of a free-agent lately with preference given to Hyatt but a fair amount of Hilton stays mixed in. Booking on those respective platforms is nice and easy... |

You can de-activate that. I think you go into your profile to change it. Seems to happen to me every now and then. I never request it, but Marriott decides that I need it.
When Marriott first introduced it, I never requested. And for a few months, Marriott kept activating it on me, and it was getting very frustrating. But I think since some time last year, it hasn't come back. Knock on something. |
