+1 from an earlier poster.
(and not much has changed at the properties except a mild room refresh at the Hilton)

Thanks for the updates. Rates for a Tuesday night there in May are brutal - hovering around $300 for the night (including the parking). Sounds like the extra $20 for the Ren is the way to go.

Airport Parking at LAX Marriott without a stay

We just returned from a trip where we parked at the LAX Marriott while away. Historically, we have done one way car rentals from our home to LAX. However, that price has increased so we were looking for alternatives. A friend had a good experience parking at the LAX Marriott and mentioned it to me. For a stay of 10 days or less, the price was comparable to our one way car rentals and the convenience was much greater.

You need to make an advanced booking. You can choose self or valet parking. We went for valet parking. Valet is $14 per day plus 10% tax. Self parking is $12 per day plus 10% tax. We drove to the front of the hotel and the valet took our bags over to the line to wait for the airport shuttle. This is the only downside. The hotel's shuttle only goes every half hour. We hit it just after a prior shuttle had left both coming and going. On our return, we texted our tag number to the phone number we were given. Our car was in front of the hotel on our return. We paid at the parking kiosk, went inside and bought a Starbucks, and were on our way.

We got points for the pre-tax parking charge of 10 points/dollar.

Shuttle is shared with Ren LAX - not sure if they have a similar offer.
As noted half hour frequency is pretty bad especially considering congestion at LAX, This is particularly unpleasant of you fly on UA/AS etc from terminal 6-7 as you end up waiting for shuttles and then sit in loop traffic on the way out (risking missing your flight) and then shuttles are often packed on the way back towards the end so you have to wait longer.
In general i prefer dedicated parking facilities with frequent shuttles (and from some like park and fly you can easily walk)

You can make advance "discounted" reservations for either the LAX Marriott or LAX Weston through cheapairportparking.org website.
Very reliable and works all the time.
I have used it for past 5 years.
Rate per night is usually about $10 or $11.

The link Carol posted passes you to this site:

LAX Parking | Marriott LAX Airport Parking

I've been using that site for a while to check prices, but as others have said its not always the best deal for parking at LAX. As Carol said, the valet team is great at the Marriott, especially if you have bags. They seem to manage the line for the shuttle well too.

The Four Points often has some really good park & fly packages, but you then have to put up with their slooooow shuttle. Also agree with cheapairportparking.org for great rates at the Westin, which I find has the best shuttle as it run more often and only serves the Westin.

If you are so inclined, Budget, with its more frequent shuttles, is across the street.

Thanks for that tip, I used the Renaissance shuttle one time I saw 3 of them pass by while waiting for the 4PTS one, but got a polite 'this one time' so Budget is a great option. Thanks!

The limited shuttle is a deal-breaker for us. We have been using Quikpark for about the same price (you can search the web for coupons and deals). It's at the Hyatt, which is closer to the airport than the Marriott so the bus trip is very fast. And they run every few minutes - we typically wait less than 5 minutes, but have never waited more than 10, and we've used it at least 20 times.

LAX Marriott

Didn't see a specific property thread (vs the family LAX thread), so thought I'd start one.

LAX Marriott completes $44 million renovation

https://www.traveldailynews.com/post...transformation

Excerpt:

"the re-imagined LAX Marriott debuts several new developments, including its M Club Lounge. A sky-high lounge located on the 18th floor of the hotel that features 4,000 square feet of space for Elite Marriott Rewards members to work or recharge. M Club Lounge boasts floor to ceiling glass windows with stunning, panoramic views of the Hollywood Hills, downtown Los Angeles and the runways of LAX. The space is open 24-hours-a-day, and features individual work stations, business center and printing station, as well as chef-crafted culinary offerings including complimentary breakfast buffet, evening hors d’oeuvres, and a full-service bar with local craft beers and curated libations. Guests can upgrade their stay by booking an M Club Room, providing access to the space and its amenities.

One of the largest hotels in Los Angeles County, the LAX Marriott’s 984 re-imagined guest rooms and 20 suites, have been modernized and completely re-fashioned, with a stylish, mid-century design, resort-style bedding, soundproof windows for uninterrupted sleep, 55-inch Smart TV with access to Netflix, Hulu and TED Talks, as well as a variety of charging points, large desks, and oversized chairs.
  • The re-conceptualized Hangar 18 (previously Champions Bar & Grill) opened in December 2017, and serves as the spirited hub of the Great Room, and features 41 4K TVs, craft beer, intriguing cocktails and delicious bites; while the bustling Social Market & Eatery (previously Latitude 33), is scheduled to open in early 2018, and emerges as a tribute to LA.’s farmer’s markets, providing breakfast, lunch and dinner service for guest to sample local flavors and California-inspired fare; and re-opened in December 2017 after a refresh is the beloved JW’s Steakhouse, which impresses with locally-sourced steaks, sustainable seafood, and a Wine Spectator award-winning wine list, all surrounded by an open-atmosphere kitchen.
  • REFRESHED Resort Style Pool – Outdoors, beneath the Los Angeles Airport Marriott’s “wave of balconies”, an instagram-favorite locale that gives the appearance of an ocean wave, travelers recharge poolside in the California sun at the LAX Marriott’s centerpiece, a tropical, resort-style pool area. The pool, that is the only resort-style pool found at an LAX airport-area hotel, has been refreshed, and is accented by palm trees and lush greens providing natural shade, as well as a large whirlpool, open area for events, and modern lounge furniture.

At the LAX Marriott for 3 night stay. Mixed reviews. The renovation is complete but like recent trends the company is trying to be more hip for younger executives. The rooms r very spartan like. The big turn off is the M Club. The club now plays dance music at loud levels. I asked the mgr to least turn it down and was refused. Least put on some Kenny G or something soothing
