Beginning January 29, 2018 you can earn Starpoints® on Hertz® rentals. Plus, SPG® Platinum members will be eligible for a Hertz status match, which includes car upgrades, bonus Hertz rewards points and more.

All SPG members can now access discounted rates and earn 200 Starpoints for their Hertz rentals. To earn Starpoints, SPG members must add their SPG account number to their car rental reservations for rentals picked up at any location. Or book at spg.com/hertz

The partnership also provides Hertz Elite Status to our most loyal SPG members, which includes car upgrades, expedited rental service and more.
· SPG Platinum members are eligible for Hertz Gold Plus Rewards® Five Star® status
· SPG Platinum members with ambassador service are eligible to receive Hertz Gold Plus Rewards® President’s Circle® status and benefits.

Platinum members can register at spg.com/hertzmatch.

The Avis Budget Group & SPG partnership came to an end on December 31, 2017. Reservations booked prior to 11:59pm December 31, 2017 with scheduled vehicle pickup dates through March 30, 2018 will earn Starpoints. New reservations booked after December 31, 2017 will not earn Starpoints.

Are reservations made through a corporate travel site (i.e. not hertz.com) eligible for the 200 Starpoints?

I'm told all booking channels (phone, web site, corporate travel agency, etc) for qualifying rentals are eligible, assuming there is a field for the SPG number. But, even if there is no field for entering an SPG number in your portal, it can be provided at the time of rental pick-up or by entering your preference to earn Starpoints in your Hertz profile.

I signed up for a Hertz rewards account once I heard about this news (added the SPG # in my heartz profile), how does Hertz link my SPG and Hertz account and recognize my SPG Plat? I was trying to see where I can get the "flat 35% off base rent". As of now , I cant seem to get that discount. Also, how do I confirm Hertz has ugraded me to "gold five star"?

Any help will be appreciated.

thanks!

Sign into your Hertz online account. In the upper right-hand corner, click on "My Account" and a drop-down box will appear. The first line of the drop-down menu will show you current Hertz membership level.

Hi Guys,

I am not getting something clear here. If lets say I want to use my AAA CDP, can I still link the points I make off the rental to SPG and get the 200 per rental? Or even link it to Mariott and get the 2000/5000?

Thanks!

Mine hasn't changed either. The confirmation that was displayed after I "successfully" registered for the upgrade said that I would see the upgraded status and receive an email confirmation within 5 business days. That was 7 business days ago, so I resubmitted the registration again today and got the same message. So we'll see. Hopefully, they're just overwhelmed with all of the registrations (which apparently have to be handled manually).

Received an email today from Hertz confirming the status change: "Elevated status begins here"

Congratulations—thanks to your Platinum with ambassador membership in SPG®, you qualify for elevated status in Hertz Gold Plus Rewards® President’s Circle®.

Is this partnership remaining post-loyalty program merger? I haven't seen any mention of it in the new Marriott/SPG elite level overviews.

Cheers,
