I think all the "favorite" threads are dumb but kind of fun to do one for Aloft where almost every hotel is the same.

Chicago -- great location and Beatrix on site.
Miami Airport -- some very nice rooms separated from hallway and have little noise, Starbucks and other food venues in same parking lot.

I stayed in Aloft Milwaukee Downtown a few years back and the location was great! Walking distance to lots of good restaurants and bars.

Their hotel bar was pretty nice as well!

+1 for Chicago - Beatrix restaurant is a GREAT platinum breakfast plus great for dinner/drinks

The only Aloft I regularly return to is Cancun. When wedged in between Westin Cancun stays, it offers a cheap/easy way to get a stay. Plus, it's a 5-10 minute walk to the beach, good rooftop pool.. but my favorite part.. walking distance to a fun night of partying. Great friday night stay before heading back to the Westin for beach time

Gotta give some love to the Aloft Seoul Myeongdong. Brand spanking new and in a wonderful location, plus felt more upscale than the usual Aloft, more like a W.

I booked that last year for my ex, heard good things. Might give it a try on my next Seoul stay since I'm not impressed by the other options.

This place is on my "do not stay" list because of their junk fees, in addition to expensive parking. It's too bad, as the place otherwise looks nice and is in a pretty good location.

I liked the one in Bangkok as well. Actually the first Aloft I have ever stayed at so don't have anything to compare to, but having stayed in all the other Starwood brands I felt it to be a good value for money (Starpoints in my case) - only 4000 points for a very nice room. Also found the room service to be good and a good value for money, which is the first time I have been able to say that about a hotel in a long time.

Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral is a solid property. I love the fact that Robes and Slippers are provided.

Aloft Cupertino, CA. Across from the old Apple campus, a new build but unlike any other suburban built-from-a-kit Aloft. Big rooms, actual furniture -- no more sitting in bed to watch the bolted-down TV -- and also very expensive! Was hinted that it was built per Apple's specs which would not be surprising.

Aloft has very tight and consistent standards IMO of the chains in SPG. Rooms, beds, sizes, food options are very consistent. You know what you are going to get for the most part. The international alofts have more bells and whistles in terms of pools and amenities (Abu Dhbai, BKK I have stayed at and really liked). I see this brand being dated in 10 years or less, but they are very consistent and I appreciate that.

Aloft London Excel (if you are good with the East London location)
Aloft Silicon Valley (Used to be a W, same on the location, gym is poor, but rest of the property is good)

So after stay, I'm mixed. My first aLoft, and I may not stay there again (was/am trying to try all of the different brands). Definitely laid out to be a younger feel. The layout of the room was ok, but definitely nothing as a plat, I don't think they even mentioned it on check in.

The location, for Asheville, is great. I'm curious what the AC right down the street is like, but until the construction is done, they'll probably be best option for right downtown.

Definitely loaded with dogs. Like loaded, saw dogs every time I went out of the room.

I had some suite night awards to use so I ended up in a giant suite which was kind of fun. I have stayed in a number of alofts and I enjoy the W lite feel of the places. I have you adult children and who travel with us and it's their favorite chain. I would say even more so than a W. Asheville is a quirky place to me and the hotel seems to fit right in.

Aloft Manhattan View Long Island City, NY

I had two stays here last week (doing some CX PE MR's to HKG) and by far one of the greats. Same room as you'll see in any Aloft anywhere, but the second stay I was UPG'd to a fantastic city view room. Seldom get this unobstructed view of the Manhattan skyline from the hotels in Manhattan, so it was impressive. And, one of the fastest most stable wifi ever in a hotel. Plus, the staff were all great-whatever you want. Points AND breakfast-no problem; use the luggage cart for a couple hours to grab a large stack of packages from my niece'e apartment nearby-SURE; leave a large suitcase for a few nights so I don't have to drag it around HK on my MR-ALSOLUTELY. Convenient to the E line at Queen's station, including the express train to and from JFK. Great price also, about $122 all in prepaid. Very W like lobby as well and garden patio-OK it was too cold to enjoy that feature.
