Best Aloft in the world -- what are your favorites?

Looks like I started somewhat of a trend with the W thread, but I'm curious to hear what the best of each brand is, even as we get into the lower-end ones.

Well, I was trying to think of a few good ones before starting this thread, but I think I've been fairly underwhelmed my most of my Aloft stays so far. (Surprisingly, I have some great FP experiences, but not so with Aloft, though I prefer the Aloft brand in principle.)

In the meh category:
- Aloft Taipei (has so much more potential with the cool rooftop setup)
- Aloft London Excel… it's… fine
- Aloft Munich… walked through the lobby, seemed nice enough and in a good locaiton

Are there any actually good ones? Heard the BKK Aloft used to be a fun party scene but that it's no longer as good.

(crickets chirping)

- Chicago City Center, for the location, actual good full-service restaurant (Beatrix), and double gym (shared w/the HP next door)
- Orlando for being a reno (vs. a new build) and thus there are suites

Only stayed at two, but I was really impressed with Aloft Munich. Great location, staff, big room (for Europe), comfortable bed (unlike National Harbor), and awesome rate.

For the best: I've found the Atlanta Aloft to be consistently outstanding. Great location, incredibly early check-in (~9am as a Gold), and a good amount of space. The hotel is quiet enough for a good night of sleep.

For the worst: Cancun, hands down. It's not a beachfront property, but instead has close proximity to a number of college-age bars. There's great proximity to the Chedraui, but no kitchen to take advantage of buying groceries. Overall, the Westins are well worth the upgrade.

Aloft KL Sentral has been the best Aloft so far for me. Good location, nice rooftop pool, they give good upgrades to Plats and the brekfast is really cool and generous.

For me, Aloft Bangkok .... perfect if you are clubbing at Levels, when Levels close, you walk two minutes to Insanity Nightclub :D

Aloft Asheville NC. Located right in the center of everything and really a nice hotel.

Agree!! Huge, beautiful pool, amazing rooftop bar and a good restaurant serving great meals at a reasonable price. This was my first Aloft stay.

In the US I would mention the Aloft Miami Airport: despite the unattractive location, the rooms are large, with high ceilings and an industrial feel. Great gym and nice little pool. Also, free parking which is hard to find in MIA nowadays.

I'm totally *not* well-versed enough in this brand to proclaim Best in the World, but the Aloft in downtown Dallas is a funky cool renovation job and a nice hotel overall.

It was a one-nighter. Typical room. I was just impressed with the building and location.

All of my other Aloft stays (about 5) have been cookie-cutter suburbia stays.

I like the Aloft Taipei for a comfortable room, but I was there during the first few week after opening. The Aloft Beitou has a really nice lobby, but the rooms in Taipei are much nicer

That makes it a good property for us younger people (:

This is the only one that I have ever stayed at, but I liked it. Location is great. Breakfast across the street was delicious.
