fair enough....there is nothing wrong with the midtown four points & i have stayed there many times because the location is just 2-3 blocks away from my client's office so it is convenient for me....

Four points Bolzano - rooftop pool and gym with beautiful views. Many large suites. Built in a former factory it has some nice architectural features and is very convenient to the autostrada.

It’s been several years. But the Four Points San Jose was always a much nicer hotel than I’d expected for the brand.

I also really have enjoyed the “Presidential Suite” upgrades at the Four Points Chelsea in Manhattan—with a terrace and wonderful views onto the Empire State Building.

That's too bad. I had a fantastic 10-night stay there on points around 2002. Great location.

I can't think of a single 4pts in N America I'd put on this list. The MSP airport one (which is in Richfield and not that close to the airport) is probably the best one I can think of, and it also has a nice restaurant.

Do you mean why I liked it or why it's CAT 1?

I thought it was a very nice hotel and far more like a decent Sheraton than a 4 points. I liked the rooms - nice upgrade, the breakfast, great staff, location (connected to a mall is always good). And the rate. I generally find the 4 points outside of NA to be superior.

I also liked the one in Kecskemét!
SPN Lifer likes this.

I'm staying there right now, and it's a good hotel by my standards. The only major downside is the lack of mini-fridges/mini-bars in the rooms...

- ROOFTOP SWIM-UP POOL BAR
- Large rooms for upgrades
- Pools everywhere
- Decent breakfast
- Right near the airport

Almost forgot about a close second, the Four Points Dubai - Sheikh Zayed Road which was absolutely wonderful. The rooms were bland, and the building looked old… but there was a club lounge, I got a massive suite, and the highlight of the stay was the rooftop bar and pool area, which I frequented on a nightly basis.
I recently returned from FPBS Bali Kuta. Very nice property. Was upgraded to a 'suite' but was just a large room but can't complain for the rate.

And also agree r.e. FPBS SZR. Stayed here many many times over the years (lost count) and know all the staff very well. Level 43 is my favourite spot The building is not old - it was originally meant to be an apartment block (hence the small lobby) hence they try and do what they can with it.

+1 for Four Points Barcelona. Far beyond the standards for the brand.
Debating this for an upcoming trip but how is the neighborhood? Is there much to do around the hotel at night? I normally stay much closer to the Gothic Quarter

1) Four Points Sydney Darling Harbour
- Large rooms, with beautiful views
- More upscale than many Sheratons / Westins
- Fantastic restaurant with an amazing seafood buffet
- I just learned from this thread that it's now a Hyatt - that's a shame

2) Four Points Dubai Sheik Zayed Road
- Amazing location
- Huge, modern rooms (I was upgraded to a massive 2 room suite)

3) Four Points Montevideo
- Large, clean rooms
- Upscale - full service restaurant, indoor pool overlooking the city

All three of these properties are on par with or nicer than a typical Sheraton / Westin in the US

YVR & YYZ are my go to Four Points, I do at least 5 to 10 nights at each one every year and they're always clean, friendly and functional, can't beat'em for the price either.

The Four Points Brisbane gets my vote. Right in city centre, friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms and the breakfast is quite good.
