Marriott Georgetown Guyana [Master Thread]
Just noticed this property opened. My geography is bad; I thought it was somewhere else First Marriott in the country. Category 2. Exec lounge open daily.
News release:

Hotel website:
"Experience the seamless combination of Georgetown's historic architectural splendor and distinctive modern luxury at The Guyana Marriott Hotel Georgetown. Marvel at picturesque views of the Demerara River meeting the Atlantic Ocean and enjoy a charming welcome to nearby Georgetown's central district with it's various attractions."

Cheers.

Never understood why Guyana got a full service Marriott when places like Port of Spain, Bridgetown andf Kingston "only" have Courtyards.

But architecture wise i think it lacks a bit of any relation to the local setting/climate... This does the hotel next to the marriott (the Pegasus) better - tropical garden, open architecture etc... even if I dont like their rooms..

Thats a good question. I wouldnt call it sterile to the outside world, esp. if you are on a long term stay in GY...
