Just came back from a two day stay and a NUA was confirmed from a base king room to a Mountain View Corner King Room which was actually really nice. I would compare it to a junior suite definitely after taking a peak at other rooms when walking by. It was a hot weekend at 50-55 degrees and the room gets really warm from the sun. The rooms have been refreshed with new furniture so it felt modern.

The BBQ spot for lunch was a hit and actually a great value. Got a pound of ribs, pound of brisket, mac and cheese, slaw, bread, and chips for $100 that could feed 4. Tasted great and better than anything else on the mountain or in Northstar Village.

Got an Uber from RNO which was easy and hired the same driver to do a private pickup on the way back since he was great and didn't want to risk not having an SUV for our snowboard bag calling an UberX.

Northstar itself is a pretty low altitude mountain so temperature played a big role in conditions. Morning was icy, 10am-12pm was perfect, everything after was slush and would call it a day by 1-2pm.

All in all, not a bad ski/snowboard weekend stay coming from So Cal on a cheap quick flight.
