ocean view room was worth it, but that was the only thing about this hotel that was good. Not because anything was bad, just nothing is open until end of Nov. Lounge is serviceless. Westin is much better equipped with proper restaurant, bars, and open pool spa. But the oceanview here is nicer. I personally liked my stay at the Westin Lima better. the hotel is just as nice, and definitely nicer now during the renos.

Hey everyone,
Had a two night stay last weekend. I booked the basic room on points and was upgraded to their 'executive suite with one bedroom' without applying an SNA (am ambassador). The area is nice, I have visited before and enjoy the views and atmosphere a lot. All F&B is now in a sort of lobby meeting room - breakfast is included for all apparently. The executive lounge on the 22nd floor is lovely, but at this point is unstaffed and only has bottled water. Service overall was good, but do not expect any lounge amenities (food/drinks etc). I would stay again. |
Fantastic Stay
June 2022 stay. Pre-upgraded to their 1 bedroom executive suite on the 21st floor. Their executive lounge is on the 24th floor, Not 22nd floor as previous post had mentioned. No SNA & BRG rate of 117 USD/night.
All Plats and above can have breakfast at 2nd floor restaurant or executive lounge plus 1000 points. Super fast and efficient service. Highly recommended!! All the staffs are friendly too :) https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...fa564ca6d5.jpg Jacuzzi with fantastic views of Pacific Ocean and adjacent Telco building https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...726c77499e.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...7372a7107a.jpg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...8dc61d5472.jpg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...ac67d5aebe.jpg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...a7ec7dbdf1.jpg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...a33fb3439d.jpg Complimentary breakfast was more like brunch https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...3b7924d7c2.jpg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...4fee9c0043.jpg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...3c0cb288c7.jpg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...4653035057.jpg https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...2e75184c37.jpg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...d937306c7e.jpg BTW, lounge offerings are now back to pre-pandemic levels. Breakfast, light snacks lunch time, and light dinner evening time. Alcohol seemed to be all day. |
Recently finished a seven night stay over the holidays. Ended up using my remaining SNA and was upgraded to a high floor 1 bedroom executive suite (same as the post above). Seems like they proactively upgrade most platinum guests if a suite is available. Seems like only the lower third of the hotel has been renovated. You really want a high level room as the noise from the street is quite noticeable. They provide ear plugs, but they aren't needed above the 20th floor. The service at the hotel was exceptional. Most hotel staff were smiling and would greet you by name. We've visit Lima about once a year and have stayed at a number of hotels in the area and overall the JW has the most convenient location and is now our favorite. We had an early morning flight and they did a very nice boxed breakfast for us to take to the airport for our platinum breakfast.
One thing to note is that the hotel currently uses a $1 to 4.1 soles conversion rate. If you booked a cash rate they will convert your rate from USD to soles, which bumps up the price by ~8%. Otherwise, you will have to specifically ask that they charge you in USD. For all other incidentals they will accept USD which would provide an ~8% discount or you can pay in soles on your credit card. The executive lounge has been downgraded. There is no all-day alcohol. In fact, the only alcohol provided is three house wines (fairly low quality) from 7pm-9pm. There was two hot food options during those two hours and soup. The quality of those were usually quite low as well. The lunch and dinner food options had mostly cold items (salad, finger foods, and sweets). We found that we mostly used the lounge for their fully automatic espresso machine, water, and sodas. After the 5th night, housekeeping started to put small gifts in the room which was a nice touch. The 1-bedroom suites are provided with bags of salt from Cusco for the jacuzzi and a special "pillow mist" on the bed. Massage prices at the spa are $63 for 50 minutes and $126 for 100 minutes. My wife and I had several during our stay and they were excellent. We had just come from the Andaz Mayakoba where the buffet was large, but the quality of food was slightly below mediocre. The breakfast buffet at the JW had much higher quality food. Room service was never bad, but sometimes it was great and sometimes it was mediocre. Lomo saltaldo and Wagyu maki were excellent, maki acevichado was average, and Amazonian ceviche slightly below average. https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...94758c2543.jpg |
For some reason I see this hotel as no-suite hotel. Impossible to get any suites for any dates for April-June, when I need it. A bug or suites went for renovation?

Does anyone have a current email for the concierge? I tried [email protected] which I saw still listed on their website but it bounced back as email address not found.

Titanium - paid rev fare.
Completed a 3 night stay from June 10-13 - really great hotel. They are doing renovations on the top floors/suites so there are no suites available right now. We were upgraded from the base level room to a gorgeous corner room. Corner room has a huge hallway where the closets are. THe bedroom is quite large with a table/chair on one side and bed on the other. Then floor to ceiling windows looking out at the ocean. Pretty cool watching the paragliders float by. Right now there's a makeshift lounge. It had plenty of food and drinks - very well stocked. You could eat a full meal here. Breakfast was also pretty vast at the main restaurant. Location is pretty good, you're across from a mall if you want quick food. Lots of local eats right down the street. Also if you're a gambler, there's a casino attached to the hotel. |
The JW Lima was a very good experience for me, and I really enjoyed my time there. Here are my impressions and photos:

I would definitely come back. The lounge proper was previously a very well appointed affair on the 24th (iirc) floor, with some truly spectacular views, so hopefully it will be equally good when it reopens. Great gym as well, if you're into that sort of thing. |
Club Lounge has reopened
I can confirm the club lounge has reopened on the 24th floor. Breakfast, lunch, dinner (plus beer and wine 7-9p)

We are planning to stay here in August 2025. Does anyone know if the Executive Lounge and suites have reopened?
Has anyone had any recent problems with leaving luggage for a few days? Thank you for your help |
