I am drop-kicking my post to the top to see if I can elicit a response or two. My apologies.

We stayed there a few Thanksgivings ago (didn't want to sleep on the couch at in-laws). We had the unit with the bed/bath upstairs. Seemed like a nice basic RI except the pillows were rocks. Breakfast was fine. No maid service because of the holiday.

Thanks, littleleaguemom. Could I ask you to describe the neighborhood?

It's not near the beach, if that's what you're looking for. I seem to remember mostly farm fields and some office buildings. Don't recall any shopping or restaurants nearby, but nothing seedy which you need to worry about in Oxnard/Ventura.

I stayed there in October. It is rather large, spread-out property located near a golf club/resort spa in a fairly affluent neighberohood. Fairway cartpath runs right behind the hotel. Tennis courts/b-ball courts, sports field on the opposite end. Not much in the way of restaraunts close by, and it's about 5-7 miles from the beach.

Thanks, folks. The property sounds OK. We're generally quite happy with Residence Inns.

We just completed our stay. Front desk said Oxnard is the third largest Residence Inn. Breakfast was the best in our fairly extensive RI experience.

Any updates from recent stays here? As a Platinum (whatever is the name for the new higher Plat) redeeming points, what's the likelihood of an upgrade?
