I'm all for a more environmentally friendly way of shipping the coins as well. Maybe they just happen to have a near lifetime supply of the larger boxes they can't use anywhere else?

I'd also be pleased if they could fire the employees who liberally glue the lids down and give a raise to the person who barely dabs the glue on. I was really excited to get some boxes last week with only tape and no glue at all.

For a time, the Mint had a problem with the small boxes coming open during shipment. That is why they instituted the glue AND tape.

Is there a charge for the bulk currency being put on a credit card? If it is like this program I am interested in learning more about it

I accept PayPal and will sell all the $3 bills that you want for no premium.

Or you can buy uncut sheets of currency at http://www.moneyfactory.gov/

They do charge a small premium but do accept credit cards.

credit card

I have an amex card which rewards program is great, however, many people don't accept amex. I need a visa or mastercard that will earn miles (preferably on American, Delta or continental).
The problem, I have bad credit and would not get approved.
Are there any prepaid or secured credit cards that earn point/miles.
Thanks

Sarcasm adds very little. Take your own advice and stick to talking about the coins.

Suggest you post this in one of the Credit Card forums. Does not seem to fit in the "coin" thread.
