Buying Money Orders at Walmart (2024 onwards)

My one $500 pathward/incomm that failed twice yesterday – – once at Walmart, and the other time at a grocery store, failed again this evening at a third grocery store. I called and they are sending me a replacement card, yet again.
I am thinking that some stores have velocity limits.

I’ve had five replacement cards sent to me within the last few weeks. All of them worked. We shall see what happens when the next one arrives later this week. From what you reported, it sounds, as if maybe that one will not work for me, either.

At one of my Walmarts, no gebit cards will work for money orders. at my regular, go to Walmart, it has been up and down in terms of what works. I used to be able to do two swipes for a money order up until a few days ago, followed by two swipes to load Discover. Now, two swipes for a money order is about all that I can do. In addition, it seems that when a card fails, it fails everywhere for me. It’s as if it gets locked after the first failure.

Yes, when I called they said the card was active with a $500 balance. However, it would not work at three different stores, including waiting 24 hours.

When I get my replacement card, I plan on using it for organic spend.

By the way, when I received my last four replacement cards, they all worked perfectly fine for money orders.

I don't know if there is any place around me that sells the Sutton/Incomm VGCs.
Any suggestion on what the packaging looks like?

Various packaging. Branded with vanilla and found at CVS and Walgreens in my neck of the woods.

Why did you ask them to Refund you and send you a check? I did just bthat yesterday after my SS failed at 1 store on Fri, tried getting an MO, an dlast night at a reg supermkt for reg spend. I should get it in 3 weeks
