Buying Money Orders at Walmart (2024 onwards)
MODERATOR NOTE: This thread is a continuation of the previous thread found at https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/manu...2-onwards.html
Is this a large multinational company that you are paying or some local, smaller company. If the latter, it may be that this company does not accept bill pay from WM.
OTOH, it may just be a New Year's glitch which will go away next week.
Give it another try and let us know if your problem is resolved. If not, it would be useful if you told us the company (s) that you cannot pay. TIA

I'm paying my bill on their website just like anybody else, except that I'm paying with VGC.
This is just to say that more merchants are blocking these cards and could be related to the MO issue.

My experience is as follows:
Had 3 VVGCs (one just bought, #3), two others bought few days ago (#1, #2)
Day 1 Kroger 1 $999 MO split: #3 worked, #1 failed. Cancelled transaction.
Day 1 Kroger 2 $999 MO split: all failed.
Reset pin on #1, #2
Bought one more VVGC (#4)
Day 2 Kroger 1 $999 MO split: #1 worked, #2-4 all failed, used bank debit to finish.
Reset pin on all of them
Day 3: WMT $999 MO split: all failed.
Reset all pins.
Day 3 Kroger 3: #3 failed.

It seems to be a velocity limit imposed.

While I did not try two cards back to back (I didn't want to get locked out today), I did try two transactions at the same store using two Incomm/Sutton $500 cards purchased earlier from a grocery store about 8 minutes apart and both transactions worked.
So either there is a velocity limit at or below 8 minutes or this "glitch" is fixed.

Never had a dud card ever in the past and all my issues for past few days involved 1 dud card with 12/31 exp. When i called them earlier, they kept saying it is fine and active. Today when i tried to load same 57 error code. So tried the card to buy a regular grocery purchase. Declined both with pin as debit and running as credit. Seems i have to call again and fight for a replacement card.

I wanted to be sure these cards would go through so I didn't use them one right after the other in the same transaction as that seemed high risk.
If someone wants to be the DP to see if consecutive swipes works again, please report back . . . I don't have cards rn.
