Walmart limits number of prepaid gift card purchases

Walmart limits number of prepaid gift card purchases
At Walmart i tried to buy some $25 Vanilla VISA gift cards with cash.
After being treated like a criminal I was told i can only buy two.
Told me to contact corporate if i want to buy more.
I'm sure this is wrong and they are mistaking the prepaid VISA/MC/AMEX gift cards with the Walmart store gift cards, which i heard get scammed.
What do you think and have you had Walmart limit how many gift cards you can buy with cash?

Can I ask you what the benefits you get from paying cash for $25 VGC?

WM stores can erect whatever policy they want. But it is very easy to buy VGC with cash almost everywhere.

To be fair, buying a visa gift card with cash is a criminal offense, at least in the MS forum.
