Signing up to buy $1000 visa/mc gift cards
You can buy the $1000 cards on Simon's volume site. Their regular site only sells $500 cards.
If you're new, or haven't bought anything in a year, you need to register at https://www.simon.com/volume/register-consumer
As part of the registration process, you will have to go to a brick and mortar mall and buy at least $3000 in cards in person, as well as filling out some paperwork while there. After that, you can do everything online.

As of Nov 2020, Simon Mall Gift cards will only work for $99/swipe for money services at Walmart and many grocery chains.

$1000 gift cards are available indefinitely.

How can I set a 4-digit PIN when sites are only allowing 3-digits? If I take these to WM, do PINs matter there?
I believe the 3 digit pin for online is the number on the back of the card

Are you mixing up the 3 digit security code on the back of the card with the PIN? Also, You did activate the cards at the Simon website?

I might be confusing them, but I did try that 3-digit code and it didn't work on a purchase. I'll try again. And, yes, definitely activated the cards.

Thanks for the replies.

I have a few questions for senior users in this thread.
Can I purchase $1000 Simon gift cards with a consumer account online? or should I register for a large volume purchase business account?
If a business account is required, are sole proprietors eligible?
Can you list "employee bonus/incentives" as the intended use of cards for the business account?

Correct. Never ever deposit a MO to a Chase Checking/Savings account.
Now, paying a Chase Credit Card directly with the MO, that is what I do. So yes, that is my take.

Consumer account. You don't have to register the business one. If you do, it's gonna ask for EIN and everything. No need for that.

Our local Simon Mall office has $1000 gift cards but they are giving them only to corporate/business accounts. I am not sure if they have been misinformed about this new rule. I got $1000 gift cards from the same office last year without any issues.

Only one mall in my region has them and told me they can load a max of $500 per card.

Almost forgot, my region is NorCal, from SF bay area to Sacramento, only one Simon with gift cards.

I've been doing so for 10+ years without a hiccup. I pay my Chase cards from that account too, which a lot of people say is also a no-no. I do have a monthly transfer in to avoid the monthly fee and pretty much all the money goes out by bill pay, not withdrawals, may that helps?

Been doing pretty much the same thing since 2016 without issue.
