gc.com back on TCB

Thanks, they've lost my business until there is evidence they'll stop playing these games.

But, isn't even just 1% CB better than 0% CB at Simon malls? I think I'm missing something because I think with 1%, you'll at least break even in terms of fees.

Simon is 3.95 per card, GC is more, they pretty much even out on net fees with cb

Ah thank you. I was using GCM previously where you came out slightly ahead, but just got banned.

I've never bought from GC.com before, but I thought it was $6.95 fee for a $500 card, along with $1.99 shipping per card. So the cost comes out to $8.94 per card. 1% CB on that is $5.09. Net total is $3.85 cost per card. So it really is almost the same as Simon. But you also get the benefit of having the cards delivered to you and getting cards with your name on them.

Any idea what got you banned? You ramp up in quantity too quickly? Or was it totally random?

GCM is totally random for many people. I've never even had an order from them and I'm banned. Wife has had a single order go through for a low amount and now she's banned too. Sometimes they'll also ban for overuse.

As I noted before if using Priority Mail shipping

If anyone wants to know i did the math on true card cost assuming 1percent cb
4 500s: 3.743
4 500s and 1 457.80: 3.455
If you have a nearby Simon its probably a better option given the increased risk (tracking, mail, etc.). I've seen first hand now how with 2 TCB orders not tracking. That eats eats away at any advantage... Still waiting on second 3/18 order to track sigh...

No Simons close to me so just started with GC.com recently. Yazing has been tracking reliably. I just wish they went back to 1.25%

pipput1 Apr 20, 2017 7:19 am

Not really. I've been able to do about 10 orders this year, which is when I started. I typically do 1500, but a few times I did a 4500 order (when there was a higher percentage offered) and I think the most recent time I tried it, I tried a 4500 order and got banned.

I had one GCs.com order fail to track on TCB and my claim was resolved in about 2 weeks in my favor. There was evidence of the click-through when I filled out the claim form, and I think that's critical.

The MCGCs are issued by Bancorp though, not Metabank. I thought Bancorp is fine?

Anyone noticed a delay in shipping notifications? Received a shipment yesterday for one that I didn't receive an email and when I look under my orders it shows as not shipped. Very odd... GC.com changed their order page recently but still no link to tracking.

Same experience here. Ordered last Thurs 4/20, delivered Monday 4/24. No email or other status updates since "order processed".

Put in a small order for 1k and the order was almost immediately cancelled. Not sure why. I assume this isn't the same as a ban. Should I just wait and try and put the order through again? Any benefit in calling to find out why it was cancelled or is that a dead end?
