While I can't say I wouldn't have done the same, are you at all concerned about drawing eyes to your account and your MS activity?
It's still shocking to me the procedures that GC and GCM employ. How can it possibly be a good idea to ship VGCs already activated?! They must lose money all the time due to theft and loss. They really need to start utilizing a more secure system, or more discreet shipping methods. |

don't know why GC.com hasn't had a secured activation like at least required phone or CC # to get cards activated; at this time, anyone can easily activate w/o any security questions
VGCs may go through multiple people before it reaches to intended person making it hard for intended person to activate VGCs. Although, what GC.com can do is give option to purchaser for additional security activation feature while placing order. :) |

Problem is these VGCs are suppose to be gifts (not for MS activity). ;)

I actually didn't get any special treatment.
Call giftcards.com right now. This very instant. Find out if the cards have been used. If they have, call the inspector general's office: 1-866-644-5696

Anyone can file a complaint with the OIG. While not having a friend refer you may slow things down, they take reports of mail theft very seriously and they will investigate.

That's a good point. Perhaps email activation codes, or at least mail them separately. Then thief would have to snag 2 envelopes.
So I think there is always risk with the online GC orders whether you are ordering from GC.com, GCM.com, or Staples |

Both orders were scanned last night arriving in my city's sort center. So they should be delivered today. USPS has been sucking with service commitments lately. 2day Priority Mail has been taking 4-5 business days lately.

Anyone know which card will free up CL faster with a payment, Capital One Spark or Barclay A+? Not sure if I'm going to be able to get in my daily GC.com orders since I mismanaged my BPs.

Has anyone been able to add a new SPG Amex at checkout by clicking the option save the payment information?

What are you go-to GC credit cards? Do you mostly do GC transactions on those cards or also mix organic spend?

Can you pay Barclay with a giftcard.com GC over phone?
Side note: I noticed that the envelopes that came in the mail had my billing address listed as the return sender. So, they got rid of the "Blackhawk Network" being listed on the envelope. I barely noticed before I pitched. But, maybe this has to do with some of the theft recently. A baby step, but at least a good thing. Next step would be to require someone be logged into account to activate. |
