Wasn't targeted but used the link to signup a while back. Even though I got the email confirming enrollment in promo, the bonus never showed up on my online account on the right side between where Q3 5% and Q4 5% show up (as some said it does).
On my most recent statement, I got the 5% bonus for $1000 at WAG.
So as long as email confirms enrollment, it should work.

I received the 5% on my first $500 purchase from beginning of Oct when my statement closed. The other $500 purchase (mid Oct) did not appear at all - not even as a regular 1%er. Asked CS and they emailed me back:
When you make a purchase under the 5% Pick a Store Bonus program, we ask that you allow approximately five weeks for the additional Cashback Bonus to be added to your Discover® account. Your Cashback Bonus information is updated once a month on your statement closing date.
Due to this you will show the extra Cashback Bonus on your next statement.
