Actually, Google autocorrected those 2 words for me just now when I searched, so they can do it the other direction as well. What I find mildly interesting is that Google is learning all the acronyms too and has all the correct full words highlighted when I search. Seems there's no way to win.

Amex must love it when I shop there on the card too, because they keep calling me and leaving messages. I'm guessing they just want to tell me how much they are enjoying the swipe fees.

This reminds me of the old Google site that searched in reverse... I can't think of the name of it though. Was it elgoog.com? It was what the Chinese citezens were using to visit blocked web pages back in the early 2000's.
Anyway...back to reading about SAR's. If only I knew someone who works for Chrohgher.

You had better get the law books back out, Perry Mason. One of the required elements of fraud is injury. Now we can argue until the cows come home if the merchant is truly injured by accepting a legally purchased gift card as payment, but if they are, then anyone who uses slight of hand (or any other technique, knowingly) to accomplish the same goal is equally guilty of the fraud as well.

Correct. I have tried with multiple cashiers. It is that kr0ger's policy now. I even pointed out that I was using a Sun+rust (deIta) card with my name on it. They have a sun+rust branch in the store even.
