Went to Food4Less today, used the $5 coupon for the VGC and was happy. Even got 2x fuel points which I didn't even know of. Decided to drive a couple miles up to L.A. for the closest F4L fuel station.

1) no premium price on the big board - whaaaaaaat?
2) premium available at the pump - ooomph!
3) premium 2¢ cheaper than the next best ARCO - yeeehaaaa!
4) max 100 points/gal = 10¢ off - dang!
There was actually a big banner tied to the station's roof advertising "up to 10¢/gal. off".

So what happened to the 20¢ it says on the website or even $1 off ppl talk about here? I had about 700 FP in my account...

Looks like 4x fuel will probably be nationwide starting Wed, 19th.


Does anyone know if the fuel points can be used across subsidiaries? For example, can I use my Fry's points at Ralphs, King Scoopers, Kroger, etc? I think I can.

In Michigan, you can use up to 1000 fuel points for $1 off at Kroger gas stations only. You can only use 100 points at Shell (no F4L here)

UT CO AZ NV Most Shell stations will give you up to $1 off per gallon. Makes 4x points on Shell gift cards awesome!

What do you mean by "used?"

I earn points at Ralphs and Food4Less to my sister's Dillon's Plus card. She uses the points for discount fuel at Kwik Shop.

In Ohio, certain Shell stations partner with Kroger and others do not. To find those where the maximum points will work, log into your Kroger account and simply do a search for participating fuel stations. Another simple method would be to call the Kroger fuel program help line and ask if any in your area participate.

Makes is real nice when the 4X gift card promotion is in effect to purchase Shell gift cards.

Well, that's not really a promo, but a regular deal. Promo is 4x and it might start tomorrow, the 19th (there was some info on the previous page)

Any VGC VISA, MC, AMEX earns 0 point. Fixed GC have always earn 2x, and sometimes included in the 4x promo.
