Saw $200 US Bank MCs with $5.95 fee for the first time at Kmart today. I'm pretty sure they'll go through on CC because I've done it with lower denominations. Probably no angle here since I don't know of any card that has 5% at Kmart (some have Sears though I haven't seen them there yet). But might be useful for some minimum spend. Now if only SYW point promos worked with gift cards!

continuing the convo from the last page, I too prefer younger cashiers, esp females. cause I've had the best and most positive experience with them. not only while buying but also while liquidating. HS and college girls for the win :D

I prefer cashiers who just sell me gift cards/money orders and don't enforce non-existent laws or store policies against "money laundering"

GC
1) I prefer the High School/College cashiers as they really don't care. 2) I avoid most problems by just getting 1 per transaction.. no manager, no Dl. the second transaction at same cashier( if using the same card, I will buy a pack of gum, so the card won't be declined for fraud as happens sometimes)always goes thru. Then I put cards in pocket or go to vehicle and return to another line and repeat. No problems. There was an older lady that I did buy 2 from at one time, and she asked me what I do with them? Being the polite guy I am, I told her I pay my employees with them so I don't have to fill out tax forms for my business. She concurred. But I don't have employees, nor a business. Bottom line: I find that NOT buying more then 2 at a time always works. The above is for grocery, CVS I can buy 2 or 3 OV at one time.

If you need to buy multiple GCs, drive away after each purchase, hang out for an hour or 2 in your car and come back to purchase another one ^ |

This is the way MS should be done. ONLY 1 GC purchase at a time.

WHAT? > "I told her I pay my employees with them so I don't have to fill out tax forms for my business" So you averted her suspicions by stating that you use the cards for crime, namely tax evasion. Is that right? I thought your post was a joke at first, but I don't see a smiley at the end! |

WHAT? This actually makes sense, you wait for the employees to change shifts so they don't recognize you. |

yeah, well.... if you're 16, homeless, unemployed, broke, alone, friendless, value your time at zero and you're so young that you think time is virtually endless and you'll live forever- then, sure.

This is why you lay your seat back and only pop your head up to check every few minutes. I find playing some classical music calms me down whilst waiting. |

Makes me look more trustworthy and not a suspicious big spender. |
u guys sound so depressed! MS season comes and then goes away!
