Was able to successfully pay the Citi Executive AA today with the first CSR I got on the phone, very helpful and paid using my JHP.

Easy, peasy, lemon squeezy...paid $2,500 via JHP to my Citi AA Exec.
Rep asked if I would like them to save my debit card info for any future payments and I said that would be very convenient!

Just paid Hilton Reserve using MVD, came through as PIN debit purchase.

Was it a temp card, or permanent?

always great experiences when paying AA Executive. No extra question asked. I am thinking to keep one. LOL

It's a perm. The CSR asked for the number, exp date, and 3-digit code on the back. Not sure if the name has to match.

Be careful with that. There have been MVD shutdowns after phone payments. It may not be any safer than MOs or CAs.

Thanks. I'll keep an eye on it. I've been going pretty easy on this MVD and only use it for MSR. So averaging (over the last few months) no more than 5K a month with loads & unloads spread out.

Just unloaded via WM MO for 1K to clean it out. Still active. Knock on wood.

All the phone reps I've gotten this week are all in Kentucky, I've talked a lot of March Madness with them while they pull up the debit system :p

Just tried to pay with a Vanilla Visa GC (BankCorp). Registered my zip beforehand.

Rep said she was getting a "Transaction not permitted to cardholder" error and could not process the payment.

^ My rep also got the same error when I also used the Vanilla Debit card issued by Bancorp. I also registered zipcode

There is an address check.
VGCs don't work. People: please stop wasting csr time and clogging up phone lines with VGCs.

According to the Wiki, Paypal debit does not work. I used my PayPal debit MC (reloaded via PayPal cash) twice and it worked (one transaction for $1K and another for $1.5K).

Tried calling, got a CSR that says they are no longer accepting debit card payments, and that I need a checking account with routing and account number. Will try again later.
