Emailed Evolve about missing BoA Mortgage and Lincoln AFS payees. They quickly responded back to send the addresses. Sounds like they will be pretty good about adding additional. Now who can sneak in a major credit card payee :)?

Just tried to "pay" $200 2x into my kid's 529 plan from a debit card. First payment worked fine. Second payment said payment error. Okay, fair enough. But my debit card has been charged the $200 for the second payment. Called Evolve and got a recording. Emailed and haven't heard anything.

From post #111

"Just a heads up -- payments to the same recipient need to be spaced at least 5 minutes apart. I submitted two payments back-to-back to the same recipient. The second payment failed, although the funds were put on hold. I called to see what happened and was told that the system treated the second payment as a duplicate. They couldn't say how long the hold would be for, and emailed me a letter to submit to my bank to release the hold. I was also told to wait at least 6 minutes between payments. "

Thanks - I should have read that before I submitted the charge.

Does anyone know how long the hold takes to be released?

FYI for future reference, they told me that support closes at 6pm CST on weekdays. Not sure about the weekends.

Is there any way to see the address for a payee? Some payees have multiple names listed.

It may be up to the debit card company. Vanilla csr said they lift the hold after 10 days.

Thanks. We ought to post a WIKI with this information. Also, I really don't like having to list out my address each time. Maybe for a $500 card that's fine, but this is making it about as troublesome as doing a money order. I shouldn't complain I guess.

Don't know but I just tried it for $1.00. It took my credit card number. Should find out on the 24th. Thanks.

Don't have to wait til the 24th, my payment has already been returned like someone else mentioned.

You can do money orders from your couch?

No, but I can liquidate four debit cards w/o typing in my address four times (and apparently waiting six minutes between each transaction).

Yep, agree there is enough info here for a wiki on this. Who controls that? And sorry to being late to the party. And to think, I just bought two 1K MO with my Sunny Trusty DC at Wally last night to pay my Wells Fargo Mortgage; what the heck was I thinking? :)

So, is anyone having some fun with this considering the deal at Office Max this week? Curse United for the devaluation.....but I might have to take a trip to Vegas on this. :)
