Need some help...

Due to a miscommunication with Chase United, I was under the impression that to receive the yearly bonus of 10,000 miles I would have to spend $25k over the course of 1 year. Come to find out that year is a calendar year...

My current spending for the year is at $20.7k, is it possible to manufacture $4k over the next 2.5 weeks? If so could you please point me into the correct direction.

In that case I would be left with $4k worth of gift cards. Are there certain cards that I can deposit into my bank account and pay off the credit card with?

Sorry if these are stupid questions... I'm new to manufacture spending.

At this point I don't have anything. I'm just trying to figure out if it possible.

You can get a Bluebird and use VRs to load it.

If the permanent BB doesn't come in time you can do something else at the last minute. It might cost a few bucks but may be worth it for the 10k miles.

Is there a maximum that I can load onto a temp Bluebird card that I would get with a starter kit?

You don't need to have the bluebird card in hand to buy the VRs. Order a bluebird online and buy 4k worth of VRs, then load the bluebird when it arrives.

I never thought of that but that would work. How obvious is it going to be to Chase what I'm doing and what are the chances of having my CC closed because of this?

There's many tools you can use. Go to Manufactured Spending forum and there is literally a thread dedicated to each one. Pick your favorite and go with it. Kind of depends on how long you can float the money.

I just completed about 14K spend on my BA card to hit 30K for this year.

So 4K shouldn't be that big a deal. However it all depends on your CL and your history with Chase. If you are concerned about doing 4K all in one go, start with 1K and do it over 10-15 days. It doesn't have to be VR, you can also get some Visa GC's (with $1 extra fee).

The other option is to prepay your utilities bill, property tax bill etc.

The BB wont get to you in time but that doesnt matter what matters is getting the purchases in before 12/31

If it was me Id get the My Vanilla DC load it for $500, and pick up another 8 and load each for $500. Then load them onto your MVD and then hit up some Wallys to get MOs with the temp MVD card. I would hit a few different CVs for the VRs just keep in mind that you can get 2 $1k MOs at each Wally per transaction that way its only .50 to MVD get 2 in 2 transactions thats $1,

But your last MO (the 9th 1) should be for $491.20 since the rest of the money went towards the fees from Wally (.70 per MO) and MVD .50 per transaction asking for an MO for $491.20 will only be denied since all you will have left on the MVD is $492.40 and minus the $1.20 in fees leaves $491.20 for usage

Hope it helps you
