I opened a BB last night and will have the card sent to me in 7-10 business days. I'm booking my vacation cruise a bit earlier then expect but that will cut into some of the Min balance. The rest I'm going to cover with Vanilla reloads. I don't plan on doing this to generate spending on a monthly basis as the United card only gives you 1 to 1 on non United purchases. I also can cover the 3k in reload purchases on my CC for the time being until I can unload the BB account. In total I'll need 6 reloads which will be $23.7 in fees. $24 in fees seems worth it to me for 10k miles.
Do you guys recommend purchasing something else at CVS to make sure the balance of the cards don't come out to $1,007.90? I do plan on spreading out my spending as to not raise any flags... there is a CVS on every corner around here.
Anyone see an issue with this?

You will probably get a fraud alert for your second large purchase. But with the 5k limit at (most) drugstores, why make multiple purchases? One trip, 8 cards, done.

@reelknead1 and any other noobs. FT and MS is a not as simple as coupon clipping or clicking a link or two. There are risks involved and a learning curve. There are plenty here willing to help (myself included) by there is a very simple cultural initiation that is paralleled in the New Testament. FT helps those who help themselves.
Skim reading 20 posts doesn't cut it. 1-2 hits with the search tool doesn't either. You don't have to read all 80+ pages, just the last 10-20 in a thread will most often give you all you need to know.
Most MS is about getting a huge amount of value for low outlay. Surely that is worth a little effort? Messing around with $1000's surely is worth a little real research?
All the questions asked in this thread are reasonable, but all have been answered repeatedly throughout the top threads here. Not reading them comes across as "I'm too lazy and important to bother, so which sucker will give me the Cliff notes". I'm sure that wasn't the intent, but text reads as it reads, not how it was meant. (Same with this post).

Also remember that when first starting out, I wouldn't go hog wild, even though I desperately wanted to. Start small, maybe with a one way AP or a single BB account. Get your MS legs under you then ramp up. For some, it can be unnerving swiping your CC for a $5k CVS purchase. For others, they don't feel complete unless they pull that off 10 times over... In a day.
