Was there a fee at chevron? What were you loading from (CC, VGC, etc)?

Yep my trusty Chevron informed me last week when I went in to do the usual loads. I was loading twice a week for the past 1.5 to 2 years. Wasn't sure if it was just that location but now it seems like new corporate policy. Its been a bad week with loss of that and NW Buxx.

I'm looking for a cheap way to pay non-credit card bills (mortgage, electric, student loans etc.) and NetSpend seems like a good option. I live in TX so I can load from VGC for no fee (I have done 2 tests to confirm this) which means I can effectively pay my bills with CC spend for 0.98%. Assuming I load in variable amounts and occasionally throw them a bone with a debit card purchase, can I get away with using this for around 2k/month in bills without getting shutdown?

Has anyone received their 1099-INT forms for their Netspend accounts?

Need to give it more time. Last year I received on 2/06/2016 and this year, 2/04/2017 (today).

Which bank sends those 1099-INT forms? I've got couple from Metabank and BOI federal bank. I'm not sure they're for netspend accounts.

Look at the back of the card to see which bank issues it. Netspend has a couple different issuers (might depend on where you got the card). My ACE Elite card says Metabank, and my Brinks card says BofI. You can also look at the interest amounts to match a 1099 form to a bank account. And I doubt that you have an actual bank account at Metabank, so what else would that be for? :)

Thanks. I'll double check. I wasn't sure on those. I was thinking for those 5Bs :(
I've savings account with Brinks, Netspend and WU prepaid. It'll be one of those.

Ace, Netspend.com, Western Union are Metabank
Brinks and HEB are BofI

Separate forms will come for accounts at each provider, even they are at the same bank.

The Metabank 1099-INT forms have your account number in "account number."

The BofI 1099-INT forms have an unfamiliar number in "account number."

My Netspend is from Bancorp (I think it depends on where you get your Netspend card; I got mine from CVS).

Go find a local CU to deposit your MOs

If you want Netspend to hold your money for x number of months, go right ahead!

Thank you. I just checked abusive fee of Netspend for deposit the Mo in 24 h, 25 dollars, if not 10 days. I guess I will just use Family dollar reloads.

I really don't understand why anyone would want to deposit MOs to Netspend or any other prepaid card. In my mind, MOs are the 2nd-to-last step in the MS process, followed only by deposit to bank and payment of CC bill to complete the cycle.

was there a purchase fee to that MCGC so $3.95 is loading fee similar to what WM charges? If the VGC fee is $5.95, total fees come up to $9.90 for every $500 load?
