Vanillareload.com (and associated sites) down? Master thread.

Since this site seems to be down more often than most, I thought it would be useful to have a thread where we can track it before panicking that we got shut down.

As of now, it does seem to be down.

I've called Vanilla GC about a different issue (see money disappeared thread) and CSR told me that they are doing upgrade and system should be back up in 1+ hr and CSR can't access the system either.

It was 40 min. ago.

That might explain why my vanilla gift card purchases couldn't activate at store an hour ago. Walgreens just undid the transaction but CVS let it go through and receipt said activation will occur within 24 hrs... a couple years ago I got that and it never did activate, had to fax proof of purchase to Incomm first.

Check your funds on the card. My friend had declined transactions trying to load onto his BB at Walmart ATM. Even though the transaction didn't go through, the funds were gone.

Not trying to be rude as I like the idea, but sometimes it helps to hit up these sites first. Just in case someone hasn't heard of it: http://www.isitdownrightnow.com/

The same thing has happened to me today as well.
It is all in this thread: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/manuf...bird-help.html

If you'd call Vanilla, they now have a recorded message saying "If you had a cancelled transaction, don't call us, you won't see your money for 7 days. Call us only after 7 days. In the mean time, we are using your money to make profit. It is our way to fight back vs FT people".

I am not kidding. Please feel free to call & verify.

Smile

Just checked my cards, all money are still there. WM register showed the "Host timed out" error when it happened today.
