That's short haul first class roundtrip on AA for $158. Shoot, most would pay $158 just for a coach roundtrip. NYC-Montreal rarely drops below $300 for coach, yet now you can buy first class for $158. Go with Amex GC's through BC, and now you are getting paid to cash in your points for first class.
deleted.

don't want to connect the dots in public.

I loaded 1k after midnight ET, it posted with a 12/13 date to bluebird. Now I get an error when trying to load another card. Do I need to wait 24 hours?
lots of folks have reported on this before. It's per calendar day (based on east coast time).

Other than paying bills, how else do you guys spend your BB funds? How strict are they at shutting accounts down for sending a check to your relative? I can see them being strict on sending checks to yourself, but not sure about close relative or transferring funds to your bank.

Thanks, that's what I thought - calendar day. But the fact that the Bluebird transaction date is Dec 13, even though it was past midnight ET, it seems odd they would use that date and still follow eastern time zone.

The first time I entered money, I entered $1,000 at 10:57 pm central time, then another $1,000 at 11:02 pm central time.

But lately, it appears that I am waiting a full 24 hours to log in dollars.

Hmm, so what does it say economically about metro Detroit when I can buy VRs in well over half of CVSs with credit card and only about half of those have a 1K/day limit?

that's interesting - I wonder if they are changing their system to move to a 24 hour rolling window.. given that it's 5K max per month, waiting 24 hours shouldn't really be an issue though..

I loaded VRs for the first time last night, and I did the first transaction around 11pm ET and the second around 12:15am ET. I was able to load $1000 at each time window.

i'm having trouble finding VR in Cleveland ..found about 20 at a small store and i stop in after work and do 2 every night..explained to the clerk what i was doing, (somewhat)..i did make a mistake of buying 2 of the black V, for $500 each and did not know what to do.tried to use ATM and no luck.took them into my Chase bank and they gave me a $500 cash advance on each card, and didn't charge a fee.maybe a way to go

I know ... I was being a smart a**... and I wish AA (or anyone) did fly F to YUL. Ah well... I do agree Avios are massively valuable for US and US/Canada redemptions...
