Everyone tread with caution. I can see Chase banning us for stuff like this. I dont want to become one of those horror stories where I cant access any of my UR points and chase closing all of my accounts. That would be a nightmare. I think i'll be conservative and do only about 2500 worth every quarter

If everyone keeps blatantly commenting on the deal and the details then it isnt going to last your 6mos to get the spend you need. I dont know when FT became a place for stupid people to blab out and spell out each specifc but how long before this bank decides that the public discussion warrants them closing the loophole?

NS = NetSpend

It is another prepaid card that serves similar functions. The Frequent Miler blog has covered this discussion.

Why bother? I assume if a Wells Fargo teller is available in your area, the even further reduced fee of using a wells fargo ATM is preferred.

The ATM daily limit is $500 if think. There likely is no limit at the teller. $3.00 and I get all my money back in one transaction.

Edit: I now see there is daily teller limit $500 .

Wish there was some way to pay a WF mortgage (few thousand per month) in one lump sum with this card. But it looks like there is a $600 limit per transaction and $500 limit to get cash using a teller.

I have what is almost certainly a stupid question resulting from me overlooking something painfully obvious, but here it goes:

Let's say you use Bank X's CC to load up the WF PPC. Why would Bank X care one way or the other if you were doing this repeatedly? From Bank X's financial perspective, isn't it no different than any other transaction? If you use the Bank X CC to buy $100 worth of candy vs $100 worth of WF PPC, is there any difference to what Bank X receives?

I'd assume that repeated purchases to another financial institute can look like laundering.

Let's say, for the sake of argument, you explain to them exactly what you are doing so they know it's not laundering. Then what issue would they have?
