With Amazon Payments, I know people are getting shut down for making multiple accounts and sending money to themselves/or friends, but does that only apply when the additional accounts are using the same credit card, or is it ok if you use different cards for each account? (ie. 5 accounts + 1 same credit card = BAD, but 5 accounts + 5 different cards = GOOD?)

Oh wait... you can send money to yourself in Amazon Payments if you have two accounts? Assuming different Credit Cards but same name will it work?

Data point: Going through fatwallet, 1% cashback for Visa/Mastercard giftcards on giftcards.com - $3000 giftcards purchased in August - cashback of $30 paid today (so takes about 90 days).

$500 giftcard has a fee of $5.95 - $5.00 cashback from fatwallet = $0.95 nett cost per $500.

There are free shipping codes available quite often to save a few dollars.

Depends on your definition of "very high." To put some specifics on the matter, the basic paypal fee (before any high usage discounts for business accounts) is 2.9% plus $0.30 per transaction.

Assuming it helps you reach a significant credit card sign up bonus, eating this fee can be very worthwhile. Using Amazon payments for a portion (due to their caps) can help reduce this cost.

Indeed. 3K initial spend on a Chase Sapphire would cost you $87.30, but would net over $500 in points. It's not worth it just for the points/miles, but is a viable option for initial spend.

By the way, to answer an earlier question, the equilateral rectangle company shut me off after around $10K in gift card purchases. Same reason as given to MM.

You should be able to find answers in other Amazon Payments/Serve threads:

What a great day today.

Staples was doing Amazon Kindle Fire's for $123.88. I bought a couple dozen of them. Sold all of them on ebay (already) and have them all boxed up using USPS. I wanted to ship using Fedex for the Delta promo but I wanted to control expenses and keep shipping down as I was giving free S/H.

All in all I was able to accumulate a couple thousand miles today though between ebay fees, shipping fees, and purchasing tablets. (and I have all the $ on the way to my bank account now). Not to mention a free tablet for dad and the girlfriend

Just so you are aware it seems Walmart/Best Buy/Staples/Office Depot/Office Max are all on the same page now and realize that the $123.88 from Target was an extremely limited and now expired offer. If you get one it is truly because they guy isn't educated behind the counter.

Hopefully you went via a mileage mall for the extra miles on American, United, and others. That much activity would net you alot of extra miles in addition to the purchase card miles.

Talking Belgrade Mint Takes CC's

Indeed - up in Belgrade, Montana The Mint is still taking Mastercard and VISA for purchases. No Presidents being offered there - but the steaks and booze might be worth a mileage run up Highway 90 from Bozeman.

I know how to drain them fee free I had to accelerate spend through the end of the year for the BA companion cert, though, so I resorted to getting a few of those... In the meantime I loaded 2 AM3X 4 Targhhhget cards and I'll drain them later next year fee free since I have some cash in the bank I don't mind losing interest on.

Here's an idea to all those that live in areas where Stop N Shops exist (southern New England).

They currently have double gas rewards on gift cards, so you can earn 2000 gas points on $1000 on prepaid gift cards. ($5.95 fee each). 2000 points is worth $2.00 off per gallon (up to 35 gallons) so you could potentially be looking at $70 in savings for only $12 in visa fees, not to mention the miles for the purchase. Great for minimum spend requirements!!

Lucky you. Here in CT giftcards do not earn points (yes I have tried it).
