Keeping mine. Might as well.

Maybe they'll change their mind.

So, I assume most people are trying to max out their AP usage before the shutdown. I just got the Ink card ($5K minimum spend), and would love to get a final push from AP. My wife and I both legitimately have accounts. Do I realistically risk any adverse action on either of our accounts to do:

$1K A > B
$1K B > A

Both with the same card (in my name)? I could do B > C (wife to my dad's account--all legitimate accounts) instead, and then just withdraw it to him and transfer it to me (we have a couple joint bank accounts). I haven't added her as an AU/employee, since she's mid name-change with the SSN office after our wedding. I doubt AP would do anything about it, since it's the last month anyway. I can meet it other ways, but this is obviously easiest.

Just YOLO and do it. I doubt Amazon will do anything. Cutting it too close to meet the 10/13 deadline.

I should be receiving the card tomorrow. I kind of doubt Amazon will do anything either, considering it's being shut down and the most I can do like this would be the $2K this month. I spend thousands of dollars a year on Amazon, so it seems like a poor business choice on their end to blacklist me for that. My only fear is shutting down the AP account with funds in transit.

What AA are you afraid of? IIRC, getting your AP acct shutdown does not affect your Amazon shopping acct.

If that is the case, then I have nothing to fear! Won't need my AP accounts after this. I'll go for it.

Just did my last three APs. It was a great run... Probably 50k points. RIP

Tried to do a payment this morning and transaction was declined. My CC only has 999 available credit line and I was trying to send $1000. It appears "Failed" on AP. When I tried another card I was told that I've used up the entire quota for this month...
Is there any way to get around that? Call AP?

wait a day. it will open up the limit.

BloosTraveler Oct 7, 2014 3:46 pm

Did this late last week in the same day, since why not. Used different cards for mine and my SO's AP accounts, but both cards were in my name:

1K A > B > A > Bank account
1K B > A > Bank account

So, anyone worried about getting some last minute transfers in, go for it.
