Tried to eligible recipients and got the same note.

And I'm assuming the recipients haven't reached their max receive limits, and the recipients have not been shut down?

If they're newly created accounts, they may require ID verification. Alternatively, as has already been pointed out, make sure the amount you are attempting to transfer doesn't put the accounts over the monthly limit.

Prob a dumb question, but do you think you would get the 5% cash back on Chase Freedom in October using Amazon Payments since Amazon is a 5% category in Q4?

AP does not work for Chase Freedom bonus categories. In the past it HAS worked for Discover CB on online purchases.

Chase is cracking down on people using AP. Just recently someone got shutdown just for withdrawing money to his/her Chase checking account.

AP won't work with Chase when Amazon is a CB bonus category.

Last year it did work with Discover when online purchases were a cash back bonus category and online purchases is a CB bonus for Q4 for discover this year^^ Unfortunately I will only be able to do $1K of the eligible $1,500 this year since AP is being shut down in October. It will be pretty easy for me to get the other $500 in with year end charity contributions I will be making online but it was just a lot easier doing it with AP.

I think that person in question made several errors as he left too many transactions for Chase to trackdown.
Used Chase CC for Amz payment, then withdraw Amz funds to Chase cking acct then used Chase again to transfer the Amz funds. Used too many Chase features.
Best to use Chase CC for Amz then use ANOTHER BANK OTHER THAN CHASE to withdraw the funds.
Not that it matters now anyway as Amz is going away in a few weeks. :(

Could you provide a link to the report?

I have been doing precisely this, using Amazon and Chase accounts for three different family members, monthly for almost two years, with no problems.

Search for "Chase closed my CC accounts" thread. It's in the last few pages of the thread.

Pro tip: Don't use checking accounts for MS with banks whose CCs you also want to MS with.

Would have thought this would be completely obvious.

Additional reason to use different accounts: funding them with CC :D

Although, sometimes it almost feels like it's too many balls in the air when I'm setting up DD to avoid fees/earn bonuses...

So, we have one report that someone "surmised" that Chase closed his/her checking account because of AP deposits. One robin doesn't make a Spring, particularly when that one robin has only been "surmised."

Meanwhile, many others have been successfully making these deposits to Chase accounts repeatedly for years, without incident.
