Visa details required at online check in
Hi all,
My wife and I are flying MH from KUL to DPS and when we tried to check in it asks us to input our visa information. The step can't be skipped and asks for visa number, issuing country and expiry date.
I am from Ireland my wife from Taiwan, so neither of us require visas for Indonesia. Anyone have any experience of this? Or is it typical MH IT gore?

I'm not sure if because Taiwan was parked under China in MH system, which is being flagged as Indonesia currently restricts any China Mainland to enter the country. You might want to give MH a call or get to airport to try to let the agent solve it?

I noticed a new question as well, "Have you traveled to China, Hong Kong, Macau or Taiwan in the last 14 days. Are they really still lumping Taiwan in with China? It pretty much has the same number of cases as Malaysia.

I believe so, as there is quite a large portion of Malaysian Chinese still strongly believe Taiwan should belongs to China, which I don't want to explain in another long paragraph...
But currently there also some country has announce travel restriction on Taiwan, such as Philippines. Vietnam had issued the restriction too before, but I'm not sure if they pulled it out. Basically all due to their government one China (a.k.a Pro China) policy

What a load of bollocks. The opinion of a small group of people has absolutely nothing to do with the way airlines classify Taiwan. Taiwanese passport holders are subject to vastly different visa/travel document requirements than their mainland compatriots.
