Four Seasons Ocean Residences

I recently recieved this email from Four Seasons and thought it might be of interest to our community. Additionally, there is a 35 page brochure available to download on the FS website, http://www.fourseasons.com/private_r...eanresidences/. Enjoy!

112 WHOLLY-OWNED LUXURIOUS RESIDENCES LOCATED ABOARD A PRIVATE SHIP OPERATED BY WORLD-RENOWNED FOUR SEASONS HOTELS & RESORTS

Thank you for your interest in Four Seasons Ocean Residences. We appreciate your patience as we worked to perfect the ship's design and the owner's experience, ensuring they both meet the exacting standards of the Four Seasons.

We are pleased to announce the long-awaited first release of residences, The Aqua Release.

The Aqua Release features a limited allocation of residences to a select few regions throughout the world. As a participant in this exclusive release, you will be provided a private purchasing opportunity held in one of four international locations, prior to the public release later this year.

Four Seasons Ocean Residences range in price from €2.8 million for one bedroom residences to €30 million for tri-level penthouse suites.

I've been waiting for this...quite some time now... Looks great.

The World was getting a bit old.

The only issues I've had with these residential ships is the average age of the owner...living with a bunch of retired fogies isn't my idea of fun. I do hope the sales department makes diversification a priority.

maybe FS is trying to do something with that with these preview sales.

they could have made it invitation only though..

It would be a lot more interesting (and viable) if FS launched its own cruise line.

whole ownership is more viable than trying to compete with say Seabourn and SeaDream.

i also agree with jplux.

Great point. Slightly OT...I wish there was a lux cruise line that wasnt that way either. Seadream is the best we have right now. I'd like more options.

delayed a year, wonder how sales are >
International Ocean Club Holdings, Ltd., has negotiated a ship construction contract with Aker Yards to build the Four Seasons. Construction is anticipated to begin in 2009 (once we have achieved our pre-sales target) for a scheduled delivery in 2011.
if there are rentals, they have 1 month min >
The developer has the right to establish a rental program, and if it does then you must rent your residence as part of that program. After the developer has sold the rights to occupy all of the residences, you may rent your residence independently or through a rental program that may be established by the RA. In any case, all rentals must be for at least 30 days.
very interesting article, including background on 30 day min lease

My brother made a deposit on something similar a year or two ago. Now the project has been cancelled. Although his deposit was supposed to be in escrow - looks like the check won't be in the mail anytime soon. I would be extremely careful about entering into any financial transaction like this (being pretty conservative - I'd never even consider getting involved). Keep in mind that in many if not all cases you are dealing with non-US corporations and non-US laws. Robyn
