Smile

We are huge Kauai lovers, but we also really enjoy the Caribbean. Our favorite is the FS on Nevis. The island itself brings its own pleasures. Not an island with a lot of shows and dazzling entertainment, but spectacular nature. Lots of great spots to eat dinner at around the island and then we recommend that you come back for a late-night cocktail and delightful live music. And perhaps a romantic walk on the moonlit beach. It is such an excellent place that guests keep going back, time after time. Nice accommodations. And, of course, the personal, attentive and friendly service that FS are renowned for.

Bringing this back a little bit, but I would highly recommend paris in the springtime. Yes, it was cool, but it was much less touristy and it is right in the middle of oyster season, and if you love oysters, the french ones are almost worth the trip themselves. If you want to make the trip truly memorable, you could take an orient & express train from there down to venice and stay at the cipriani.

Thank you all for your very helpful and thoughtful advice. I wish we could go on an around the world honeymoon, but alas time and money don't allow. We had an unusual development that allowed us to try something entirely different than we had thought about earlier. We will be going to Bora Bora in April 2008 and staying at the St. Regis Bora Bora. DavidO is helping us out with the reservation and has found us a compelling value that puts Bora Bora in closer reach. Look forward to report back next April. Again, thank you.

Anguilla

How about Anguilla?

T&L Reader's Poll #4 in the Caribbean and #69 on the Top 100 list is a great little property called Malliouhana Hotel & Spa. Fantastic beaches, both secluded or lively depending on your preference. The spa is incredible, likely the best in the Caribbean. Largest wine list in the Caribbean and great food at Michel Rostang. Service is good as well.

Many secluded cays and islands off Anguilla for snorkeling and the such. St. Martin is 11 miles away if you want some nightlife.

The island is developing fast. A St. Regis and Viceroy to come in the next year. I suggest getting to Anguilla soon. Malliouhana is a great choice. Ask about their pool suite.
