Oh no!! Did not realize these shortcomings existed with Vietnam / Hanoi as such.
I am so glad this thread is prepping me mentally for the trip!!
We were also thinking of Sofitel Metropole in Hanoi. (sorry for the diversion in the thread to Hanoi).

Capella is much newer and has better hardware but Sofitel has well trained staff. I wouldn't be surprised if Capella poached some of them.

Interesting problem to have as a customer. Hopefully we will get very good service no matter which one we pick!

Hello all - my short review of Capella Hanoi

OVerall - we liked the hotel.
As mentioned above - the tours "curated" by the hotel were quite crappy. We did not truly enjoy them as the guides were not up to standard (for the money they charged us!).
