Ritz Turks & Caicos
Planning on heading there this summer. They said the hotel will open by June (all facilities except for the casino).
Suites start at $1095 / night, plus fees and taxes. Not cheap, but the Ritz rarely is.
Does anyone have other information about this resort? Not much information online.

The location is pretty good. i looked at the dates at the very end of june we are going and it won't let you book yet, so i don't know how optimistic the opening schedule of June actually is. It lets me book august 1st though. real suites are well over $1k
DLX guest room 2 queen limited view: $564
DLX king oceanfront: $784
Club King: $1029
Junior Suite: 1274
Executive suite ocean view: $1421
Executive suite oceanfront: 1642
executive club level: 1936
Lux suite (1bd) 2720
ritz carlton suite (1bd) 4288
per night plus taxes/fees/resort fee
there are other 2 and 3 bedrooms suites as well.
I think we will end up sticking with Parrot Cay.

It's expected to open end of June beginning of July and obviously a large footprint
The owner of the hotel also owns the new Ritz in Bermuda as well as the one in Aruba
It's going to have 120 traditional rooms and another 65 One - Four Bedroom residences
It's white/bright/floor to ceiling windows.
Interesting that it will have a casino.
It's lagging behind the opening of the Bermuda property in terms of staffing
I just reached out to DOS at the Aruba property as she will have the 411 and I'll share later today ~
The regular Ritz website does not have much but the Residences does:

They opened for reservations on Feb 19th and by that Monday parts of festive was sold out
This year they will not have a minimum stay which is a big deal because festive on Pls is normally 7-10 nights
Their target clients are from the NY area.
Hotel rooms will be on floors 1-9 whereas Residences will be on floor 10 & 11 as well as 2 other towers.
Entry level rooms off season generally will be $650 and in season $1200/nt
They are renovated the dock to serve as a boardwalk like experience. They will also have their own 50 person catamaran .
The GM came from another Marriott property but waiting to hear more about them.
The casino is not expected to open until later in the fall as they are still going through license process.
You can expect this hotel to be popular with Bonvoy members as well as corporate incentives, weddings, group of guys looking to gamble in the sunshine.
I think of it as a piece of Miami Beach on the island of Turks & Caicos.
for anyone that has been to Turks & Caicos , it does not fit in whatsoever.
I think they think "if you build it, they will come".
In another 3-4 weeks, Residences Festive inventory will become available.
With the waiver of the minimum stay, expect it to sell out quickly.
Great value for festive travel.
Air can be booked now and is priced well and has good availability.
Most airlines if you book by end of March, are still waiving change fees.

I'm looking forward to seeing the property, but oh my, that's expensive even by T&C standards. FYI, immediately next door is a wonderful resort called Seven Stars. Plenty of one and two bedroom suites with full kitchens. Worth looking at as an alternative if these prices scare you off.

They also offer Club Level rooms which sets it apart from other hotels.
I am really excited about the new St. Regis opening in Bermuda in May 2021.
The island is sorely in need of luxury product.

Check your booking carefully!
Oh my - I haven't seen this happen before and I am Lifetime Titanium with Marriott. I made a booking for July 4-11 and confirmed a total price of $5975.20 for a deluxe oceanfront room (yes, expensive but again it's the Ritz). I received an email confirmation which I have attached a screenshot here. I went back into my reservation a couple days later and shocked to see the system has updated my reservation and now the pricing shows $6990.98! Screenshot of this attached here too. I'm assuming they didn't load all the taxes and fees properly because the base rate is the same but that's not my problem. I booked it and agreed to it based on a certain level of pricing and now without any warning or indication it was just automatically updated at this $1000+ total higher cost. Thankfully I saw it but highly recommend you check your bookings and compare email confirmation with what the system now shows. I hope the hotel honors the original pricing - I called Marriott today and they were confused and have opened up a case. I'll keep the group posted.
Has this happened to anyone else before? (booked at one total price and then system updated later at a higher total
